Edit: Back a year later and its still great!!! It was REALLY good. I would not drive an hour for it, but if I'm in the area then I definitely will be returning. Employees are nice and welcoming. Place has a sports bar vibe.

I went here after watching the Goldbergs TV Sitcom. They are right, after a lifetime on the PA side and getting cheese steak all over Philly the absolute best Cheese Steak anywhere is at Donkeys Place Camden. Awesome food, awesome people, awesome atmosphere. I will be back!

A unique, delicious cheesesteak. Lean, tender steak, more sliced than chopped. Seasoned perfectly. The round poppyseed roll really makes a difference. Just different from any other steak I've had. Wings are what we call 'hard fried' and good but not exceptional, though they are big and meaty. Fries were good. The fried stuff was all fried in relatively fresh oil, which you probably know is not always the case. Atmosphere wise, it's about what you'd expect from what appears to be just a normal neighborhood dive bar that happens to make exceptional food. Ordered takeout and order was ready on time and packed in an easy to carry box.

I am new to the cheesesteaks here even though I was born and raised in South Jersey. I was today years old when I first had a cheesesteak with onions. Excellent moist but not soggy sandwich and love the roll! My first Donkey's sandwich will NOT be my last!! Yummy!!
