Drove to Cape May ( from NE Pa!) to introduce friends to Aleathea's...we'd visited before (+ would have given 5 stars!)and our friends were eager for the experience. Checked the website & FB before traveling, open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, check!Arrived today, to find the place closed & under construction!Website says nothing about this, and FB only posted something later last week, after we had checked.VERY disappointed, and won't bother making the 4 hour trip again any time soon. Can't imagine why a business would not keep their website updated with such crucial information!

The restaurant is short staffed. So do keep this in mind before sitting down. The food for breakfast on the first day was amazing. I ordered the eggs benedict. The second morning the eggs were overcooked. The first evening the food was presented beautifully. Service all three times was okay. The host to the restaurant in the morning was lovely. Very sweet individual. The last meal we had at the restaurant was in the evening. We had an event. However, out waitress, was absolutely lovely. She brought out the courses as they should come out and didnt rush the food. She was wonderful. I wish I could recall her name, as her service was excellent. And the food and drinks were also very good.

Just afternoon cocktails for our small group. Attached to The Inn at Cape May. Bar staff were friendly, informative and working really hard to keep up with the extreme demand. Great experience.

Went in for an after dinner drink. We told our bartender we like bourbon and wanted an after dinner drink. She had a great suggestion of an espresso martini made with bourbon. Top notch! She was very personable and made our short stay very enjoyable

Wonderful meal with fine service here just a few nights ago. My wife loved her entree sized salad (spinach with beets) which we split. Her entree, was truly delicious - ahi tuna, seaweed salad, pickled ginger with a dollop of soy flavored rice . I ordered 3 appetizers - the Mussels were meaty (with Andouli and a nice marinara), Steak Tartare (thinnest tartare ever, and I needed a spackle knife to pull it off the plate), and lastly a Burrata cheese app with proscuitto, roasted red peppers, cherry tomatoes, in a balsamic glaze. I'd dine here again in a heart beat, with the pricing reasonable in today's high food cost environment. Good portions all around too.

This is our second visit this week!I had the poke bowl with ahi tuna ... Twice.Hubby had the ahi tuna platter last time and the blackened snapper this time.Everything both times was fresh, well prepared and delicious!!!.Tables were spaced well indoors and good aid circulation.Don't miss if you want a great meal at reasonable prices with excellent service.

The food and service were exceptional Food is fresh, plentiful and high quality preparation with lovely presentation. White tablecloths and efficient service in a lovely Victorian building. The poke ahi tuna bowel was out of the park excellent. The blackened ahi tuna dinner was excellent too. A don't miss experience and we shall return!

After looking for a place to eat that didn't have a long wait, the very friendly hostess at Aleathea's told us the full menu is also served at the bar. Ended up having a great meal with fun company.

Had breakfast there twice during one trip. Good selection of food and very pleasant service. Sit by the open window and you can see, hear and smell the ocean....beautiful!

Aleathea's served as the way to end our Day Trip to Cape May. A nice splendid meal prepared to our liking was the end all we needed before traveling back North. Daisy had the Crabcakes and I chose the Lamb Tower...Too full for desert, I had the rest of my food wrapped up to go. What a nice way to bring Aleathea's home with us. Must visit again.

Always a great breakfast. Stuffed french toast is the best. They are having staffing issues with covid so call first.

Worst experience all the way around. So, I went to a lot of trouble to arrange a family dinner during our vacation to Cape May and this was a total fail. When we were seated, our server Regina engaged with us and participated in our banter and when I asked if she would take our picture she said she absolutely would however when we were ready, I wanted to our family to gather on one side of the table but Regina actually told me no, she had other tables and would take it where she wanted to take it. Then I ordered a Mai Tai (which is on their drink menu) and was brought a brown drink that tasted like watery rum. No fruit juices. Then we were brought our food. The steaks we ordered were not cooked correctly but rather than the runner just taking it back, he argues with us. He brought out a medium steak that no one ordered and when we said we ordered mid rare, they promptly brought it back out saying it was kid rare! It was still brown all the way through! And again, they argued with us. The lamb was over cooked as well, nothing was seasoned. When I asked to see a manager, I was told there isn't really one. A guy in a tee shirt came out and just stared at me while I explained what happened. He said nothing. When I asked him if he had anything to offer he just said they remade the meals, no apology no nothing. No offer of any information, no empathy, he just stared me. DO NOT EAT HERE. Our bill was almost $500 and only one dish out of 8 was worthy.
