Says they are open but they are not.
Big Wave Burritos has the best burritos in town. Huge and stuffed with all the fixings. Absolutely fantastic service, thanks Jaiden. You gotta try the El Yucateco Hot sauce.

Food was authentic and delicious, the portions generous, the prices fair, and the service friendly. Great selection of hot sauces! Top-notch place, top-notch vibes.

Cute atmosphere, But food was not good. Rice was very mushy. I raved about this place to my friend. She was disappointed and I was embarrassed. I’ll skip this place next time.

We ate here a year ago and the meal was fine. This time it was disgusting. The burritos (one fish.and one chicken) were carelessly prepared. The fish burrito was all breading and minimal fish and the taste was rancid. The chicken burrito was dry. In summary, the cook was not competent.

Cute place but we waited over 40 minutes for our food while we watched everyone else get theirs. Just as we were about to ask how much longer it would be one of the girls approached us and asked if we were waiting for anything. We told her the name of the order and she went to the counter and grabbed a bag that had been sitting there for over 20 minutes. Originally, they had told us when we ordered that they would bring it out to us when it was ready. I get mistakes happen and things get forgotten but there was barely an apology when she brought out our food that was now cold. Not only was the food cold since it had been sitting there for so long but the flavor just wasn’t worth it. We were surprised at how bland it was even though it appeared to be seasoned. The bathroom that is used by both employees and customers had a soap dispenser that was filled with mostly water. Sadly I would not recommend this place because it seems like nobody there cares and the food is not good. I have worked in food service for several years and this is unacceptable.

After spending a wonderful evening at the Convention Center, our group of four wanted Tacos for dinner. Unfortunately, the highly rated Taco Shack was closed and Taco Caballito had a 45 minute wait so we decided to try someplace new. What a mistake. We arrived at Big Wave at 8:30 pm, 30 minutes before closing. There we no customers in the restaurant (red flag) and no one eating outside. Once we placed our order, the tall young gentleman (who was nice and friendly) asked if we wanted to eat in or take out. As soon as we said that we wanted to eat in, the two young girls standing behind him rolled their eyes and one nudged the other with her elbow. They obviously didn't want us to stay and the one young girl was bold enough to say so ... we were all so hungry at this point, so instead of leaving I asked if we could take our order outside and eat on their picnic benches. The tall young gentleman thought it was a great idea but the two young girls were still visible upset. We waited outside and the tall young gentleman delivered our food in take out containers around 8:45 pm. As we just started to eat, I noticed one of the young girls come out the front door and reach down and grab the welcome mat. We were only sitting a few feet away from her downwind. Fearing that she was going to pick up the mat and shake out the sand, I warned her not to ... but she shook the mat out anyway and sand blew onto our food. She said that she was only doing her job! Our food was ruined. She then walked in and locked the doors. This was now 10 minutes to nine and two more customers approached but could not enter because the doors were locked. What little I tried of their food was tasteless. But the attitude of the work staff was worse then the food.

Food is bland and doesn’t taste Mexican at all. Mostly filled with cheese and tasteless. Few errors in bringing the food that was actually ordered. Couple of things good were location & atmosphere.

First time trying this place and I am very surprised at how bland the food tastes. Everything looks seasoned but tastes like nothing. The prices were affordable, the atmosphere was cool, and the staff were nice but I would not recommend this place.

This place did not disappoint. We ordered the Fajitas and the portion was huge. Fresh made fajitas and chicken hot off the skillet. So many sides and 4 tortillas. This meal was enough for more than 2 people. Will be there again soon.

Great Poke Bowl and Hero Smoothie. I'll Definitely be back.
Total Ripoff – $14 for This?
Paid $14 for what looked like big fried shrimp, but it was all breading with a tiny shrimp hidden inside. Complete scam. If I wanted a ball of fried dough, I wouldn’t have paid seafood prices.

I wanted to love this place! It has a cute vibe inside & lots of seating. Seems like a good spot for families after a long hot beach day. I will say, the reviews are right. The food has no flavor. Super basic and we had to add hot sauce to everything. If you’re starving tho- it’s not a bad option.
