We had such a wonderful evening at Smithville Inn. Being there felt extra special because we were in town reconnecting with college friends we hadn't seen in 43 years—so many memories came rushing back, like no time had passed at all. The food was excellent, the atmosphere warm and cozy, and Michelle, our waitress, was fantastic. It was one of those nights that just makes you smile all the way home.

Everything was great. Reserved a table for 2 on Valentine's Day and they did not disappoint. If you're having trouble picking an appetizer get the burnt ends they literally melt in your mouth. The Italian wedding soup was amazing, the New York strip was cooked to perfection at medium rare as well as the asparagus, I'm not a mashed potato fan but my wife loved them from my plate. The chicken and sausage pasta meal was good just a little too much oil. Dessert was amazing as well, the lemon marscapone cake was stunning as well as the crème brûlée. The ambiance was fantastic especially with the complementary champagne while you wait for your table. If you're thinking of going I would say don't hesitate but definitely make a reservation I barely waited 5-10 minutes and was sat before my reservation.

The Smithville Inn is a local gem. The valet takes your car and parks it if you like. You can smell the wood burning fireplace before you open the front door. The french fries could have been more crisp but overall the food was very good and the service even better. They were even offering complimentary glasses of champagne because it was Valentine's Day. We'll be back.
