Do not go here! My fish and chips were cold after waiting over an hour for the entree, advertised as their speciality, appeared to be large fish sticks, I took a bite out of a fish stick and asked the waitress for hot food, she took my plate returned 1 minute later, with obviously the same food, since a bite was gone from the fish stick. My food had been dunked in the oil and re served to me, it tasted terrible, inedible . Also, they put food that was in my mouth into a common frying area, which other people were being served from. I believe that is a health code violation!!

Fiasco . They were telling guests they were a little backed up. , but that’s no excuse for bad service and horrible food . Steamers were little necks, not steamers . One hour wait for our entrees, other guest served before us . When our entrees finally arrived , my ‘special ‘ was not as described and my sisters fish and chips were stone cold Fish and chips looked like frozen fish sticks and skimpy fries for $30 . When we sent the fish back , was dumped back on our table , having been dunked back in oil , still not warm and disgusting , also dumped in oil with the bite taken out , gross . Finally flagged down our waitress to have it taken off bill , had to chase hostess to get the bill . Every one just la di da No staff the least bothered interested in acknowledging how terrible the experience . And it was $80 bucks ! They should have just closed

Oh my goodness, the Blackened Chicken with smoked bacon and avocado was incredible 😲 It was probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. Eduardo our sweet server said it's his favorite and go to every time so I had to give it a try. My wife's turkey burger was a little dry but still good, maybe a little over cooked. The restaurant was a bit small but certainly adequate and one of go back to time and again if not judy for the chicken sandwich. BTW, it came with a side of Chipotle sauce to add of you'd like and oh my, I certainly did. Did I say it was amazing.

We always go here for dinner at least once when we are in Cape May. You can buy a bottle of wine from a local winery or bring your own. Food is always great.

A great spot in the center of the Cape May Mall. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the menu has something for everyone, including gluten free options. Family friendly and always worth a visit. Parking can be tricky in season, but I would go here anytime!

So the only reason I gave them a 2 star rating is because of the food, the food was DELICIOUS!!!
However, the service here is HORRIBLE! They don’t know the meaning of customer service. I’ll start by saying it was just 2 of us. Our waitress sat us, then took our order and left. We watched 2 other tables sit down, order, get their appetizers AND their main courses before we even got our appetizer (we ordered one appetizer to share and each ordered a roll, like the other 2 tables who all got their food before us even though they sat down after we ordered our food). We then asked for a manager to give our feedback in person and we were very nice about our feedback. The manager came out and didn’t even listen to us but immediately started talking over us and arguing - he was honestly a grade A jerk. We decided not to argue back and just say okay, but he should have heard how bad the timing was and our waitress did not check on us at all. Sometimes listening and just acknowledging there was a mistake goes a long way in customer service.

I say go to another restaurant with just as good food but much better service because this place clearly does not care about customers.

Love this place. Great food. Lots of options. My favorite is the Fried coconut shrimp taco wrap. Love it!!! Great service, sometimes a little bit of waiting depending on your preference for indoors or outdoors.

Cape May Fish Market has always been a special place for us. In fact, for my parents’ 75th anniversary, we sent them there in a limousine to pick up their food and enjoy it together. We’ve had many excellent meals there over the years, which is why last night’s visit was so disappointing.

The wine and fried green beans were both delicious and exactly what we’ve come to expect. However, we go there for the seafood, and this time it fell short. We ordered our usual favorites—the lobster rolls and the oyster po’ boy—but the po’ boy was so disappointing that we sent it back. The oysters were not good - bitter in taste - weirdness in texture, and the sandwich completely lacked the presentation and flavor we’ve enjoyed in the past. I used to recommend this sandwich to friends, but sadly, I no longer can.

After eating the lobster roll the next day, I did not feel well. I can’t say for sure that it was connected, but it added to the sense that something was off.

I hope this was just an off night, because Cape May Fish Market has always been one of our go-to places and a spot I love recommending. I truly hope to see the seafood quality and presentation return to what has made this restaurant so special for us in the past.

Great Service; Certain Kitchen Staff is Less Than Desirable Let me preface this review by saying that I have never…not once ….sent back any food that I ordered in a restaurant, for any reason. Our family went in hoping for a nice dinner—left totally disappointed. My daughter and I ordered filets, medium rare, which both came out well done and dry. After slicing into them and before the thought even entered my mind to send them both back, our waitress saw them and said, “those steaks are not cooked medium rare. Let me take those back and get you ones that are cooked right.” Politely, I agreed and sent them back, and when the second ones arrived, they were practically raw in the middle, like the cook did it wrong on purpose out of spite. I get that mistakes happen, but this felt intentional and unprofessional. Clearly, whoever’s running the kitchen doesn’t know how to cook a steak—or worse, doesn’t care if patrons could possibly get sick. If I had a meat thermometer (which I didn’t), if my steak read 65-75 degrees in the center, I’d say that would be pretty close to how it felt to the touch. It was cold…not even Blue Rare…cold… The only redeeming part of the night was our waitress, Melissa. She was friendly, attentive, and apologetic, even though it wasn’t her fault. She handled the situation with grace and tried her best to make things right. Unfortunately, great service can’t fix bad food. Not sure if we’ll be back to eat here…definitely won’t be ordering a steak.

Excellent food. We got the fish and chips which was cooked very good, the homemade tartar sauce was delicious. We also got the conch fritters and the New England clam chowder. The fritters were good and the Clam chowder was the best thing we ate. The service was nice and food was hot and fresh. Great location, downtown cape may is beautiful and there is a ton of small shop shopping all over the area. Parking is limited when you go in season so plan accordingly. We would recommend trying Cape May Fish Market out if you’re planning a trip down.

Parking: Parking is metered and limited but there’s is plenty close by.

Kid-friendliness: Great for the whole family.

Wheelchair accessibility: There was no steps to gain access to the restaurant. They also have outdoor seating avalible.
