Great stop for a sandwich or salad, always fresh and creative. A gem of a spot and excellent soups as well...Try it once and you will return...

Loved the thick and solid burger here! Fries are solid too.

I grew up in Cape May then moved away, I returned for my wedding and cannot thank the Depot enough!! The Depot customized the exact catering menu we requested and delivered to 3 different houses with a total of 50 people (2 bridal parties and visiting family). They delivered at the exact time we needed and everything was so smooth plus everyone was fed and quite happy. The quality was exceptional and I will be forever grateful that that was something I didn’t need to worry about that day! Cannot recommend this place and their food enough, delicious!!

The Depot, Cape May, NJ. I like the Depot. Very nice young man. They seem willing to collaborate on a sandwich idea. We were on the adventure so we stuck with the Cheesesteak and got the cheesesteak made their way with their homemade cheese sauce. I liked the cheese sauce. The Amigos had conflicting opinions of the cheese sauce. It was a bit pricey at $13.50. Cash only. Spoiler Alert; It is the winner of the first Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure Cape May Cheesesteak SmackDown.

Cheesesteak had good amount of meat with cheese mixed in well. Good healthy size and roll held up well.

We had brunch here. The eggs, bacon, and toast were tasty and cooked to perfection. Also delicious ham and cheese sandwich. The owners are very helpful, courteous, and pleasant. The railroad decor adds charm. The place is very clean. It was convenient to our neighborhood, has parking, and is open early. I would return and recommend it others.

Are you kidding with the good reviews and 4+ star rating?? Tried this place a few times. Each time it was below average, not good. Tried various items to be fair and didn't care for anything. Some things are worse than others. The chicken sandwich is something you'd get at a low-end diner. How can you mess up a basic chicken sandwich? Tried something called a chicken waffle taco. What a joke! There's nothing taco about it. It was a basic, bland waffle laid flat on a plate topped with a small amount of extremely dry and over cooked chopped up fried chicken fingers. No lettuce, tomato, etc,,. The bathroom was gross and there were no towels or anything to dry your hands. Interior of the joint could use a cleaning. Prices were okay but there's too many places in the area that are much better options.

If your looking for a fancy breakfast, this is not the place to come to..it's just the basics in terms of eggs and menu is very very limited on choices for breakfast..not sure how the place has a 4.5 review...

Went to the Depot and had a cheese steak with there home made cheese sauce. I didn't know what to expect but I was not disappointed. The fries were great as well. I especially loved the railroad theme and the historical items throughout with explanations to each. The staff was friendly and nice to talk with.

Went over for a burger and fries for lunch on vacation here from Pennsylvania ,first of all the food I would say is subpar the atmosphere is ok but needing more very small seating area nice selection of drinks but food was to need improvement the burger I ordered was the 2 patty burger it seemed to have to much spice in the burger which really took away any flavor of the beef patty in my opinion and the meat in the patty was not that high quality I could get a better burger at five guys with much better beef , next the fries were ok but could use a little salt other then that it was any ok place .

Great spot for breakfast or lunch...best cheesteaks in Cape May for sure. The housemade cheese sauce is a staple.

How can a restaurant not offer hot tea when they serve breakfast? Especially when they have a coffee machine with a hot water spigot. They need a lesson or two on running a restaurant. They give you plastic utensils & that wouldn't be bad if only they were sturdy enough to eat with. When they serve toast (they dont have jelly either), the butter is hard chunks that break the knife when spreading. Butter patties would be better & more economical. Coffee is self serve. Not a big deal, except the pot & machine were filthy. One & done. It could be a cool little spot if they only managed it better.

Food and service was superb. We got the Bavarian pretzel which was massive and the oatmeal stout infused cheese sauce was fantastic. For the main course I had the spicy mac and cheese and topped it with bbq pulled pork, which they had on special. My husband ordered the Elvis burger. It was a burger with cape may peanut butter, and topped with bacon on a fresh bun. If you're open to new things you will love this place.
