I've been vacationing in Cape May for several years now and have never had to pay $75 for breakfast for two before. Two orders of chocolate chip pancakes - $12 up charge for chocolate chips for both orders, two eggs - $2 up charge for cheese, one side of bacon, a small side of strawberries/banana ($8) which we didn't even get until the end of our meal because the waitress forgot to bring it out and drinks - one small fresh squeezed OJ ($6.50) and a small coffee. If this was a brunch with endless mimosas, I would understand the pricey bill, but their up charges are absurd. Worst part is the waitress (and menu) fail to mention most of these up charges. Food was good, but most certainly not $75 good. The best part of this place is the dog friendly deck.

So great! We were in Cape May a little before 1:00 and wanted to get some lunch. We happened on this place. Technically they close at 1:00, but they were very happy to serve us. The food was great! The menu is very large, there are lots of choices. The prices are reasonable. All the staff were very friendly. It was off-season so not too crowded, I would estimate it gets busy during the summer. Highly recommended!!Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian and it was easy for her to find menu items.

Alright folks, I'm back after a looonnngg hiatus.I'm pleased to start up again, with a 5 star review.Dock Mike's was probably one of the best executions of customer service and great food. We loved the local decor meets Martha look and feel of the place. It's not noisy at all, with the exception of fork and knife scraping the plates. This is ment as a compliment as I, like other patrons, was/were enjoying the food so much. This is easily in my top 20 customer service list and again, the food was on point. I had the spinach omelet and toast, the wife enjoyed the waffle, bacon and egg combo. The presentation was pleasant and the flavor matched. It just kind of gives you that "home" feeling.I will definitely be back and I'm highly recommending you visit.A couple minor setbacks, like cash only and charging for refills, but these are NOT deterents. Just be aware.Happy dining!

$56 breakfast for two….yes you read that correctly. And cash only! Coffee was in a paper cup, no refills, no water, (yes they have water at $2.50 per bottle) and before you ask no you can’t bring in outside water bottles. $18 for the 3 pancake 2 egg and bacon breakfast. No homefries, those were $4.50 extra. Between that and the corned beef with a side order cheese grits (again another $4.50)….it was $56. This was before tip. Oh and we did get the maple syrup (a modest $3.50). The thing is….the food was actually pretty good! Pancakes were fluffy, eggs were perfect, toast was good, hash was great! My favorite part of this meal was the family next to us asked to add chocolate chips to their pancakes on their meal and the answer was “ok that’s $5”. The dad actually dropped an accidental F bomb in awe. “Home of the $5 chocolate chip upgrade!” Won’t be going back…this was a very strange experience.

Easily one of the worst meals we’ve had at a restaurant. We placed two orders of avocado toast (no modifications), home fries, and a coffee. Both orders came WITHOUT AVOCADO and without onion…literally missing the key ingredient. We were essentially served a bagel with lettuce on top. The home fries were about 90% salt, 10% potato. Coffee was also terrible, especially for $6 bucks. The server apologized, but for $52 dollars all in, an apology doesn’t do much.Service was also slow, and they only take cash (get with the times).I’ll take a sliver of responsibility here for ordering this at a hole-in-the-wall CM restaurant, but still, as a local, this is a massive embarrassment.

Went this morning for 1st time & sad to say, probably the last. I guess we didnt realize it was all alacart. 3 pancakes were something like $16, no meat that was extra. Cold coffee drinks in small plastic cups $10.50! It was diner food, nothing more. Sorry, wont be back. But service & atmosphere was great!!

Food is good but wayyy overpriced for what it is. Family of 4 breakfast cost me over $100! And that included 2 kids meals. Much better places in Cape May for the same price point or even cheaper.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday, late morning in the winter. Upon entry the place appeared clean but very cluttered and old school, but it's Cape May so we assumed this was a classic and maybe this was its "charm." While waiting to be seated the staff was very flustered with only a few people waiting ahead of us. We just assumed they were understaffed as are so many businesses these days. When we were finally seated we were given two menus - the regular and the specials. Both menus looked cluttered, just like the restaurant. What did stand out was the fact that they only serve bottled water at $2.50 each, and so many items were an upcharge to the already steep menu prices, for the type of restaurant it was. If you wanted to have onions in your home fries, it was an extra $1. Sausage gravy, an additional $5?! Another sign on the wall that stood out said they only serve drinks in take out cups. If I'm paying the prices listed in that menu, I at least expect a solid plastic cup for my $6.50 OJ or a coffee mug for my $7 "specialty" coffee. We finally decided what we were going to order and waited for the wait staff to come by to ask us what we would like to start. Several waitresses walked right past us over and over again. We waited... and waited..and waited. After 20 minutes of not even being acknowledged, we just gave up and left. Sooo, we can't speak to the quality of the food, but based on service, appearance and cost of simple breakfast items, we definitely will not be returning to find out.
