The hot lobster roll was delicious and filled with fresh lobster meat and lots of butter. The crab cake tasted fresh and had little filler, but next time, I'll buy them raw and cook them at home (they dried out a bit during transport).
The fries are rock-star quality and the staff is polite.
We will definitely be back!
Stopped in for the first time and picked up clam chowder and tuna salad. They were both delicious, but extra praise for the tuna salad. Hands down the best I have ever had.
Could not recommend this place more. A great selection of seafood from the market and amazing food off the menu. Family owned and ran, local, friendly, fast. Best crab cake I’ve ever had and it’s gluten free so the whole family can have it, if your willing to share. Definitely my new go to seafood restaurant.
Stopped by to pick up lunch - food was delicious !! Definitely recommend checking it out :)
Plus quick service - placed order at the counter & the food was out within 10 minutes.
Excellent! The crab cakes are awesome AND gluten free!!! I’ll be back for more hush puppies too!
If you are gluten free, don’t miss out on Dockside Dave’s gluten free crab cakes! They are excellent! I can also recommend the cheesesteak and the delicious hush puppies! If you’re anywhere near Cape May, stop and pick up some seafood - either fresh to take home or cooked. It’s the defiantly worth the trip.
I recently traveled for vacation for 10 days throughout New York and New Jersey, and I must say, the food was absolutely incredible. In fact, the meals were so good that we returned the next day to try different options.
We highly recommend the filet mignon sandwich (which we ordered both days), calamari, lobster mac and cheese, and dock fries. The crab cake sandwich was also really delicious, but I should have paired it with something different. Since I already had crab on the fries, it didn't stand out as much, and the fries were so tasty that they overshadowed the sandwich.
5 stars is conservative for this place! Food was at another level!
The food was DELICIOUS and the staff was very friendly!
Fresh incredible food. Found it by accident but what a great place. Sat on the porch for lunch I will go back as often as I can.

I don't typically leave a review, but I feel obligated. My wife and I split a cheese steak and the Dock Fries. The cheese steak was good, but the Dock Fries were UNREAL. Possibly the best cheese fries we've ever had, highly recommend them. All fair priced as well! The market features outdoor seating if you want to eat on-site!
We ordered lobster mac and cheese and fried scallops and shrimps and it was very enjoyable. Prices are very fair.
It's mostly a pick up place but there are some counter seats and some outside tables.
Run don’t walk. Amazing lobster rolls, both Maine and Connecticut…fresh, made with love. Amazing crew working the shop. Old school but with a new school vibe.
And they have Brisk ice tea which I haven’t seen in years!!
First time with my husband and I and everything tasted amazing and fresh. I got the connecticut lobster roll and he got the fried flounder platter and the dock fries. The Dock fries was the ultimate favorite! Did not disappoint 🙌🏽👏🏼 will come back again!
Picked it because of the name TBH. We just recently lost our own Dave to cancer and I thought it would be cool. The worker at the counter was a sweetheart, even checking on us while we ate outside. The clam strips were the best I have ever had in my life and the crab cakes were amazing. We can’t wait to come back next year.
