Love this place! It was mu husband and I 's first trip to Cape May to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. The Ebbitt room did not disappoint. They really made our anniversary truly special. Can't wait to visit again!
We had a fantastic experience at the Ebbitt Room! The food was great from the apps to dessert. The pork chop was delicious and served as the chef's preference. The pumpkin cheesecake was really balanced without an overall strong pumpkin taste. I definitely recommend both! One of the best spots to eat in Cape May.
The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the Arugula Fig salad followed by the Misto Halibut. For dessert we had to Pumpkin Cheese cake. Every entree was superb, our compliments to the Cheff! My only complaint was that my Cosmo wasn't the best but I still gave 5 stars because the food and staff were the best! Thanks for a great night!
This was our first experience at the Ebbitt Room. We chose the Restaurant Week menu and had the Arugula & Fig Salad, Halibut and pumpkin cheesecake. The salad was amazing, halibut delicious and pumpkin cheesecake was decadent! Food presentation and service were top-notch. We will visit again.
Scallops and pork chop were excellent as was the poached pear dessert — large portions required take home ! Noise level was more than we would have preferred/ expected even for a weekday but we did enjoy the complimentary anniversary prosecco provided before dinner
Excellent - all around! We had a small issue with an error WE made affecting our bill and they handled it so well. I'd go again and again and again.
Dinner here was very good but very expensive. Dover Sole was delicious but $75. Scallops were fresh and they gave you 6 which was nice. Wine was also high nothing under $50 again food was very good.
Wonderful experience. Our hostess was very accommodating when we asked to change tables. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. And our server was attentive and lovely. Food was fantastic!
Excellent, top notch food and service. Local fresh ingredients used. Loved the rib eye for two, cooked perfectly, grilled oysters were divine, salad fresh and seasoned well, blueberry tart was so fresh and delicious to end a wonderful meal.
Service at the Ebbitt Room is always outstanding. The ambiance is elegant, and we love the music choices and volume (it's not too loud). Food is pricey, but everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the special tuna crudo dish. Chicken, scallops, dessert, and cheese board were also excellent. This is one of our favorite places to come for fine dining in Cape May!

A memorable and highly enjoyable experience! The wine was excellent, the oysters fresh and tasty, and the miso halibut was just art! So well balanced and all tastes blended into a pleasant symphony for the senses. And finally /the desert-not your common everyday choice, but wonderfully simple, yet fresh and tasty combinations of fruit and mousse or patisserie. Service was excellent and very friendly and accommodating! Wonderful experience!
Lovely food in an elegant setting. The porch was awesome on a warm evening. Food was very nice—expensive, but high quality and well prepared. Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't find the portion sizes to be small. The vegan dish was a yellow curry and left nothing to be desired. My husband got the scallops, which he said were terrific. And the blueberry tartlet was an amazing dessert, very rich and definitely enough for us both. Our server, Miloš, was great too, as were the host and the food runners. Just a really nice experience for our first night in Cape May!
For the price, the food was not good. The tuna went bad and I had to spit it out. The steak was not cooked properly or high quality
Another fantastic meal at the Ebbitt Room. The new fall menu did not disappoint. From the fall-inspired drinks to new entree creations, everything was delicious. The deviled eggs are always a must. The crudo was an ahi tuna and was presented beautifully. The rabbit ragu tagliatelle was a new take on bolognese. Steaks and the fall pork chop were perfectly prepared and delicious. We will certainly be back again. Chef Jason is a true gem of Cape May.
The place is a very romantic restaurant, with a piano player playing intimate songs. We sat at a lovely table in the middle of the room. Our appetizers, we're very good. We had a tempura calamari, and a beet salad, which was delicious. We ordered the bread which were four dinner rolls, it had a buttery and sea salt topping, which was delicious. For our entrée, my wife had the halibut that she really enjoyed So here is where I gave it a little bit lower on the food rating I ordered the pork chop, which was $48. I would have to say it was not very good. I asked for a medium well , after two bites I found it difficult to finish the pork chop. It was very dry so I was disappointed. This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is very good except I can't give it a high rating if I didn't enjoy mine. I will be coming back and perhaps if I run into that issue again I will return the dinner forsomething else.
