Great location from shops within walking distance. Hotel provides you with your own designated parking spot. Room was very clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and great service. 3 bars on the premises were alot of fun.

While I cannot speak to the quality of the boarding/rooms, the food was horrible. We stopped in for a quick breakfast before our Rail ride. The food was not made to order. It was made the night before, that is why you cannot make substitutions or changes to the order (read the bottom of the menu)! We ordered home fries, eggs, bacon and pancakes! The food was very cold, even to the touch! To make matters worse, there was a piece of hair in both of our plates! While we did not have to pay for those meals, it was not a great experience at all!

I’ve stayed at the hotel prior and had a nice experience. The outdoor atmosphere is beautiful though I did remember service being slow (which is fine- as it seems they have one server for the entire dining area during breakfast). This is regarding the restaurant only as of August 2024. Two families with four children between 3-8 years old. A Wednesday morning for breakfast. We sat outside further away from the other tables and closest to the street, where there was a table with a small couch next to it so the kids could sit there. Service was slow, but waitress was friendly. We were not in a rush. After eating while waiting to pay the check, the children were a little restless and were playing around a bit on the couch (laying under the cushions, being silly, hiding from each other under the cushions). A very angry worker came over to say to our husbands in front of the kids, “It costs a lot of money to get those cushions cleaned, this isn’t Chuckee Cheese.” Clearly, he had a bad morning. The comment was completely uncalled for. They were outdoor flimsy cushions that sit outside by the street all day and night. They weren’t being thrown on the floor nor did the kids even spill anything on them. After spending close to $250 for a mediocre breakfast, we expected to be treated a bit nicer. I guess, don’t bring kids here. Even to eat outside. They don’t want them there. What a shame Elaine’s..I loved you before this.
Love Elaines close to everything and room is wonderful. Would stay again.

This review is for the resteraunt. This is the worst meal I had in Cape May. The server was rude and making faces when we asked simple menu questions. My steak was bland and not seasoned well. French onion soup had the outer onion peel in it. The vegetables were sloppy and consisted of under seasoned zucchini. Poor presentation. Overpriced. The scary part of this dining experience is when the umbrella next to our table fell almost hitting us.

2 stars for hotel 5 for restaurant. Seem more focus on the restaurant.
No indication of where to check
In - had to ask 2 people at the bar
Was at the host station for the restaurant.
No place to sit outside unless at the restaurant or bar or waiting area for restaurant
Room was close to bar which was noisy off and on
Not worth what they charged
Other the no outside space room was lovely and very clean.
Staff at check in and restaurant were pleasant. Otherwise as walking through - not a nod, good morning etc.
Our dinner in restaurant was great. Nice to have live music.
Walkable to everything- beach, mall, church, Acme, lots of restaurants and shops in addition to their restaurant.

We stopped by for a burger at the outside bar. The service was terrible! Although the wait staff was pleasant and accommodating the butger took 1 hr. 15 minutes to come. We ordered an appetizer and burger to share. The food runner had no idea what he was doing and carried one plate at a time walking around in circles like he was in a coma. We were told out food was on the way out three times after about 45 minutes. I personally watched 3 parties get up and leave after not being greeted.
To be honest the food was descent and hot, and we not necessarily in a rush the wait was nerve racking. If there had been some live music, the wait would have been more bearable. NEVER AGAIN!
