This was our second stay at Elaine’s and it was better than the first. As we were entering Cape may we received a phone call from Patrick our host asking what our time of arrival would be so he could be sure to be there to greet us.Patrick showed us to our room on the second floor, our room was Nest #4, it has a large raised Victorian Bed facing it was at least 70” TV, our room faced Layfette St. and all the Christmas lights (very beautiful) the room also had a love seat and make up table. The rooms climate control was a split system AC/Heat Pump that worked off a remote control, the bathroom was spacious. As we were staying multiple days, we received breakfast vouchers for each of us at $15 per day.We slept well and went down for Breakfast in the dining room where we would meet Paul who took care of us, he was a great dining room host, friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast menu averages between $8 to $16, the first day we both went with pork roll, Egg and cheese on a roll with home fries with coffee, our out of packet cost was $3 plus a gratuity, the second day my Wife had avocado toast and I had eggs benedict with home fries we both had coffee that day we had no out of pocket and just left a gratuity. One of the biggest pros for staying at Elaine’s is every room has an assigned onsite parking space and great convenience in a town with limited parking. We can’t wait to escape again to Cape May and Elaine’s.

The team gave us a warm welcome, lovely live music, and a positive, upbeat atmosphere. Comfy mattress and rooms, in a great location. Would definitely come back.

Fun vibe with year-round al fresco dining, bar, and live music. The lobster spring rolls were more like a lobster roll. And I mean that in a good way. They have heaters during the fall/winter to keep you cozy and a fire pit table. Indoor dining is available too, but outdoors is way more fun. Great location 1 block from Washington St.

We heard great things about the restaurant do we decided to try it while we are on vacation. There was plenty of seating outside. We went to the bar and the bar tender didn't acknowledge us. A waitress told us to take a seat anywhere we wanted. She said "the kitchen closes soon, do if you're going to order do it now". We asked for a menu. They gave it to us but never came. Two waitresses kept passing by our table but never took our order. At that point the kitchen was closed so we just walked out.Terrible waitress management to say the least.

Great spot for drinks, bad spot for a French onion soup. Tasted like they dumped an entire bottle of McCormick dried oregano in it.

There are so many great things about Elaine’s I'm not sure where to start. The service was exceptional, staff always ready to help and e sure our stay was enjoyable. There is a huge variety of room choices from a spacious romantic modern room with a fireplace to quaint Victorian style decorated rooms with your own porch. There are also modern rooms with beautiful bathrooms. The food was good with generous proportions. I'd recommend the Eggs Benedict with crab or the 222 breakfast. This boutique hotel is all in for Halloween celebrations with music on the weekends, incredible decorations in the outdoor patio. Just loved our stay here. I would highly recommend Elaine's for its location to Washington Street shopping and restaurants.

I was visiting Cape May for the weekend and someone recommended Elaines. It was a great spot with good food, live DJ and fun activities. The waitress was funny and made good suggestions. I ended up getting the lobster ravioli and it was great. Please try this place if you come to cape may

This review is for the restaurant. My mom and I came here for dinner one night and ate at the bar inside. The bartender was very professional and attentive. Our drinks were great (especially love the dessert martinis). We each ordered a seafood entree (stuffed flounder & red snapper) that were very good. Definitely a sports bar atmosphere inside but we enjoyed our experience, meal & drinks.

stopped here for dinner, sat outside. Area was nice, food was good but service was terrible. Food took long and was partially cold (fries). The 2 waitresses we had were just rude, acted as they were bothered and made sarcastic comments about other customers. She brought the check before we were finished eating and never offered a dessert a menu. One person wanted a side of fries and she said you can just share your friends fries. Who says that?? Afterwards I realized she must have gone home because we never saw her again.
