Fins still has great food as was there 10 years ago for its gran opening- plus over ther years. Most recently 7/19/25 and the combo shrimp and clump crab salad is wonderful- cold, lite mayo, and presentation wonderful. The filet was cooked as requested and flavored well. Fries hot and crispy as ordered. Denise our server was awesome, friendly, knew her job- and believe is one of the two original servers still there. She was a doll!

we sat at the bar and thought it was odd that the bartender told us we had to close out our tab even before our food was delivered. she said it was a shift change. what if we wanted another drink or dessert? annoying to have a second bill.

Service was a lot to be desired. Food came with no napkins or silverware. Ask the front desk who looked at me like he was lost. Had to ask twice. Server keep disappearing. I’ve been there many times but will not go back no one seem to care and stood around talking to each other.

The name should be changed - past FINS was an excellent choice for a great higher end meal. Current version is basically mediocre at best bar food. The multiple reviews about the terrible calamari are not wrong. The shrimp added to my salad was like leather. Our server was great though, as were all the staff except the bartender. The live music was way overpowering in the space - very unpleasant experience - as soon as our food arrived we took it to go.

We were disappointed dining here because utensils and individual plates were not provided until asked for. One of our orders was excessively delayed. I would say the service here is not good.

Worst server I have ever had in my life. Took order, told me one thing about what I ordered. Item missing only to have to have a different server go find him because he is outside hanging out. Then tells me they don't have the item. If you needed anything I guess banging on the window would get his attention. Salads were good. Go next door to the Cape May Fish Market who owns Fins. Service and food is too notch. Dont waste your time or money. Restaurant smells weird too. Too many great restaurants in Cape May
Nice live music, good staff, and the food was excellent even on the limited menu late night menu.

We visited yesterday as a party of 10. They could not sit us together which we completely understood and had no problem with it. We were seated in two table right next to each other. Sadly, we were not able to get the same waitress which would have made this review a 5-start instead if a 2-star review. The food we order was delicious and we have no complaints about the food. However, the one waitress we got, Natasha, was absolutely the worst. She had an attitude the entire time, rushed us to order and before we were even finished with our food, took our plates away from us. We gave her a 15% tip although she didn’t deserve it. After she brought our receipt back, she was mad we wouldn’t leave right away. However, we could not leave the others behind and their check had not come yet. After 5 minutes of us not getting up from the table, she sent the bus boy to come and clean our table. I told him we were waiting for the rest of our party to get their check at the table next to us and we would leave when we paid their check. We told the hostesses what had happened and they did not seem to want to hear it. So, we recommend this restaurant for some delicious food but make sure you do not get seated in Natasha’s section or she will ruin your dining experience.

Food wasn’t horrible but wasn’t good. The waiter was nice but not attentive. There was a fee for your credit card to be used. It was fine. We ordered the lobster roll which seemed like canned meat, the oyster Rockefeller was edible, and kids meals were generous.

Save your receipts!!!! Was just here for the first time on Saturday and while the food was good, it seems someone decided to help themselves to a $30 tip courtesy of my credit card after we tipped in cash. Luckily I have my receipt and will be filing a dispute with my bank first thing tomorrow morning.
