My extended family and I have been going to Godmothers for 25+ years. The food is impeccable. We’ve really missed them being gone this crazy COVID year and very much look forward to a reopening. I can taste the eggplant rollatini!!!!

We were excited to discover Godmothers when we bought our home. Within easy walking distance is always a plus. Then we discovered Sapore am and hadn't made it here before tonight. I ordered Mozzarella Fritta. Waiter (Nick, who was great) came back after I ordered and informed me they were out. I looked over the menu again and asked, "Does that mean you're out of the Caprese?" Nope, just out of the pre-breaded mozzarella. And, it's apparently beyond the chef's capability to bread some mozzarella on the fly. Ordered the Fettucini Alfredo with Shrimp. Pasta was good, sauce was definitely above average. But the portion was microscopic. I'm not a quantity guy, definitely prefer quality, but a dish can be too small to serve as a main plate. And the shrimp were overcooked. I hadn't heard great things, and it definitely wasn't a great experience.

We go to Cape May every year and usually dine at Godmothers at least once a season. I had a terrible meal a number of years back and then again this year. The problem with Godmothers is cinsistency. You never know what yoy are going to get. It may be a fine dinner as we have experienced in the past or a terrible nme. They must have different chefs and this year we got the bad one. The veal was not tender. The sauce was acidy and the pasta was very overcooked. For us Godmothers is no longer worth the risk.

Outrageously expensive...went online and ordered spaghetti and meatballs at $15 included a side a sweet sausage for $5. Walked my dog to p/u. Bill came to $30.92. I was walking and had dog did not want to create scene. Came home and verified online menu again. Called and spoke with someone that said online menu should say something about menu being a sample menu. First and only.

Just got into town & stopped in for the Early Bird special. Nice staff & each bite was delicious!! My boyfriend got a fresh Cesar salad, ravioli & cannoli. I selected the generous muscles in red sauce (so fresh!), shrimp scampi & chocolate mousse. Perfectly seasoned & proportioned plates. We want to go back!!

Use to come here when I was much younger and the line to get in was around the block. It was the first Italian restaurant in Cape May! May be under new ownership since 2000 something but they do not disappoint. Food was great service was great! Loved it!
