We were very disappointed that there was a limited Valentine's Day menu. Food was fine considering this was a busy night for the area. I don't recommend the lobster ravioli. Service was wonderful and friendly. Would try again when they have their regular menu.

Had dinner on a cold windy winter night. Ambience was cozy (hardly any other diners). Our server Vickie was great-attentive, pleasant and helpful. We had tasty salads and appetizers, 3 of 4 entrees were good. I ordered the most expensive entree, steak frites-just felt like a juicy steak, which I almost NEVER order out because I have it at home and like something I wouldn't make myself. Ordered medium rare- I got a slice of ribeye less that 1/2 inch thick well done- not the slightest hint of pink. The "frites" were just plain french fries. I felt $56 was way too much to charge for this. I ate a few bites and took the rest home for my pups. Wasn't sure how a good chef could send it out. Our server offered to take it back but I didn't want to hold up the other diners. So- the restaurant is a nice one- just skip the steak!

To preface my review, it was a harsh winter night in Cape May with the pending snowstorm. There were few people in the restaurant. The restaurant was cold inside. Ocean 7 had a limited menu with no specials. The waiter gave me with wrong appetizer, which had to be corrected. The drinks were good and the entrees were good but when came time to pay, the bill had to be corrected twice due to mistakes of over charging. Then at end it was reported the restaurant had a water pipe break which delayed leaving the restaurant to finally pay.

NYE Dinner (ala carte)...We started with the Tuna tartare appetizer which was excellent and a very ample portion as well. The waiter appeared to be somewhat inexperienced but was friendly and accommodating. My wife had the prime rib and I had the scallops. My wife found the prime rib to be very average in taste, and was also fatty and somewhat tough. I tasted the meat as well and concurred with her opinion. On the other hand, my scallops were absolutely delicious being both perfectly cooked and tender. That along with the excellent risotto made my meal a delight (I shared some with my wife and she thought so as well). I would give the overall meal a B+ with the prime rib being the only issue.

The gift for the children could have been a bit more than a plastic coin & a candy cane. Food was very good. Very nice Santa set up with photo op. Nice venue. We would do again.

We were definitely disappointed with the seating arrangements for our Thanksgiving dinner. We made our reservations very far in advance, we were particularly looking forward to sitting in the dining room (carpeted, table cloths, decorated chairs and room).The advertised pictures of the dining room we had seen online and Facebook looked lovely.We arrived early, dressed in our holiday best and were escorted to the enclosed porch of the restaurant. No carpeting, no tablecloths, so noisy you had to raise your voice to be heard. This cafeteria type room was so far below expectations that we asked if it was possible to sit in the dining room.We were told that they had many reservations that day.Yes, we were one of those reservations!The dining room had 1 or 2 tables being used, the cafeteria type room was probably half full. Each subsequent reservation that arrived also requested the dining room.To each group's disappointment, they were seated in this below standard cafeteria looking room. So disappointing! We were not the only ones so disappointed. Our $50+ entrees would be served in a dining area that resembled a cafeteria. What a shame. However, our food was delicious. The chef's salad and entree selections were wonderful. The dessert was also very good. Although our waitress seemed a bit inexperienced, she was very attentive and provided good, polite and professional service. We will not go back to the cafeteria setting, but will make ABSOLUTELY sure we will be dining in the REAL dining room if we return to Ocean 7.
The food was great, although way over priced, although it is CM. More concerning our waiter was absolutely terrible!

It was a delicious dinner and our server Vicki was great. The hostess, however, was unpleasant and unfriendly. Because we arrived earlier than our reservation in error, she was disrespectful and rude to my friend and my elderly aunt. Although there was plenty of seating available all throughout our dinner, she purposely placed us directly next to an obnoxiously loud party of 10. Knowing that one of our 3 guests was an elderly woman, she knew it would be impossible to have a conversation, and that is distasteful at a minimum. My friends and I travel often and have the opportunity to dine out quite a bit. I've never written a review or been more embarrassed to be hosting two very precious people in my life.

Charcuterie board was amazing. 4 of us shared the board and loaded tots and 3rd app!!! Cocktails were delicious too! Music outside on the lawn was extra wonderful!!!

Ocean 7 was phenomenal! Wish they would have kept the roasted chicken and potato's on the menus but I had the pear salad and it was delicious! Our waitress Vicky was absolutely outstanding best waitress ever she is very personable and great with customer service happy and pleasant! Wonderful location and outside music is a great touch thank you for a wonderful experience
