We visited today first day of the 2025 season. The atmosphere is awesome beach sand with tables and umbrellas, Large fire pits and a large outdoor bar. The weather was 65 and partly cloudy . The host was friendly and welcoming made us feel right at home. Our waiter Jamie was friendly, accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. He made us laugh and we never felt rushed his personality is on par! We had fried shrimp with sauces, and fried Mac and cheese balls with remoulade sauce and some cocktails. Everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back later in the summer!
Kid-friendliness: They serve their kids chicken fingers and fries on a Frisbee that they get to keep!

Stopped in 10/26/24 for our pre-anniversary day out. Stopped in outside bar for a couple drinks. Had a great time. Bloody Mary's are great. They use Fever-Tree mixes , that are thick, so drinks don't water down. Best place every for a special day.. THANK YOU GUYS, YOU WERE THE BEST
Waitress didn’t come over for 15 mins. Multiple servers and bus boys walked by during that time and didn’t make eye contact when we had been sitting there. I used to be a server and never like to complain, but it wasn’t busy at all! Finally had to go up and ask someone for service before potentially walking out. Meal was fine, wouldn’t return.
Nice hangout
If you're going for food, do not go here. But if you're going for drinks and a nice atmosphere, then go here!
Live music and atmosphere was great.
Food is comparable to a rundown chain restaurant to be honest...
We ordered the clams casino and I ordered the clam chowder. I tried to ignore the reviews and just try it but I was wrong to do that! It was so thick and basically a heavy cream soup.
I got the fried chicken sandwich - I wish I took a picture of this because it looked like someone squished it before sending it out. It had "chipotle aioli" that had no flavor and tasted like cheese sauce (not anywhere close to same flavor, so taking a bite of that was... not great). My stomach IMMEDIATELY flipped and I lost my appetite. It just didn't taste right... I had to order a coke to wash it down, but the deed was done. My stomach got worse before the night was over, and we actually had to leave early to go home.
I NEVER post reviews like this unless necessary... and let me tell you, this was necessary. I'm sorry to all the Rusty Nail fans and locals, but this is not it ?? Either the chowder was not cooked right or the chicken wasn't cooked all the way. This was 2 nights ago and I'm STILL sick. I can't leave the bathroom, and now we leave tomorrow lol not too happy!!!

We ordered the clam “soup” it was a paste, tons of flower. We also ordered the flounder with baked potatoes and green beans, the fish was spiced with tons of paprika, that was all. Green beans had tomato paste on it, which was weird. I would give the food zero stars if I could the place and location was nice, and so was the band.

A very nice restaurant in Cape May. Very autism friendly with my son Laurent which is 100 stars instead of 5 for the service ! Portions were tasty and generous (maybe too generous!)

Personally love this place. Outdoor area is beautiful and the indoor side is cool and has a very 70’s grandpas favorite dive bar energy that I personally LOVE. Cheap prices on drinks and fun crowd

Checked operating hours with the manager via phone about hosting an after party after our wedding on a Sunday evening. He assured us they were open until 10 outside and 11 inside. Stopped by to touch base personally with the assistant manager the day before to confirm. When our group arrived at approx 8:30 pm we were told that none of that information was going to be honored and that the property manager changed the hours that morning and was closing by 9:15 and also told "the staff was tired." Horrible customer service. Spend your money elsewhere
This place is a joke. Way over priced for subpar food. How do 4 people eat 2 quesadillas, a ceaser salad and a chicken salad wrap and the bill was over 180? The salad alone was $22! The menu was basically all sandwiches but the cheapest thing was the quesadillas that barely had any filling and they were $16. At these prices I would expect the food to be at least decent but nope. This overpriced food was tasteless and felt like it was all microwaved. Service was super slow even though the place was almost empty, seemed like the waiters were more into spinning their trays rather than servicing their customers. This place is a hard pass!

We come here every time we come to Cape May. I love to sit in the adirondack chairs in the sand to have drinks. You can’t see the ocean but you escape the rest of the world. Breakfast is nice when the glass doors are open or on the deck. We visit several times when we’re here.
