Beautiful patio view, great music, great food. Larger tables obtained higher priority then our table of two. But overall great experience!
Our server Augie was amazing. She did a wonderful job explaining the specials to us and waiting on us. The food was excellent and atmosphere was quiet. 10/10 recommend.
I expected a lot when booking my reservation because of what I heard about this restaurant. We had a reservation for 8:15 but waited more than 20 minutes to be seated. The table we were seated at was wobbly which was promptly fixed. We ordered the octopus but was told they had sold out. We ordered the Sunday sauce but was told they're only available on Sunday. Maybe note that in the menu? We settled on the calamari, crispy but lacked flavor and the rustic antipasto that did not include the mortadella mentioned in the menu. Got the linguine with crabs and clam that again lacked flavor and was a bit too oily. Additionally, the 2-3 pieces of ravioli which they said was $29 wound up being 43 with adding 2 meatballs although they were delicious. When we asked for desserts we were told, they were out. Overall it was a bit of a disappointing experience.
Food was so good! Our server Ron was super fast and efficient. Top notch service! All in all a wonderful experience
My daughter and I were really looking forward to having dinner there but were disappointed. Our reservation was handled poorly not to mention rudely. I indicated outdoor seating when I called, then also asked for outdoor seating when we arrived but were initially given an indoor table. I understand these things happen. But, the real disappointment was the lamb. One of the chops was so tough, my knife couldn't cut it nor could I chew it.
Outstanding meal and service High end Italian cuisine, excellent professional service Beautiful decor
PHENOMENAL food! We ordered the Lobster Trio and Filet with crispy shrimp and loved every bite! We sat outside, the acoustic music by a live performer was great, the tables next to the bar were NOT comfortable however. Definitely will be back (just won't sit in the same area).
Most people indicate that this their favorite restaurant in the Cape May area. It's easy to see why!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. They had champagne on the table when we arrived~it was very thoughtful. Thank you for a nice night.
Absolutely the loudest restaurant I've been to in awhile. We had a reservation for 4:30 when they opened at 4. We had to wait in the bar until we were texted after 4:30 once we sat down the amount of noise coming from the staff moving tables and chairs was ridiculous. Just pulling things across the floor. That should have been done while we waited in the bar. Then once guests started to fill in the noise level got worse and worse to the point u could not have a conversation and couldn't hear the waiter. Definitely not the kind of ambiance they should strive for. Like a hooters during the Super Bowl. Which by the way was how the staff females were dressed or should I say barely dressed. The food was mediocre and certainly not good enough to put up with that

Secondo has the perfect ambiance. The service and food was outstanding from the drinks to the apps, entrees and desserts. The menu selection has a unique flare that sets this restaurant apart from others in the area. We were able to enjoy each part of our dining experience and cant wait to go back again.
Secondo is Stinko. We did not like anything about this very popular place. Tables are crammed together, the one hostess is not warm or friendly, the black & white decor is trendy but leaves a lot to be desired, the lack of upholstered chairs, window treatments, carpeting makes for a very loud, noisy atmosphere. The windows should be covered since they don't look like they've been washed/cleaned since 1978. That was my view the entire 1.5 hours and it drove me wild. Not a good look. There are dozens of large flies whirling around the interior constantly-one landing in my husband's water glass and he didn't realize it-he almost drank it. He pointed it out to the server who looked at the glass laughed then walked away. Our server never cleared it from our table. We had to look at it until we left. Disgusting, unsanitary and unprofessional. My stuffed flounder dish was a dud. It was overcooked, hard and tasteless-I have a feeling it was a pre-made frozen entree purchased from their food service. My husband had the Bronzini-they deep fried the entire fish-including the head and tail. Half was inedible. The zucchini appetizer were squished pieces of zucchini deep fried-the only redeeming quality was the tzatziki sauce to smother them in. If you love overcrowded, loud, overpriced inferior food this place is your destiny. We loved the Blue Claw that once was an establishment at this location. This is NOTHING like the classy, fine dining experience we would enjoy at the Jersey Shore. They made sure they decimated any remnants of those glory days.
Delicious dinner as always! One of our favorites! Can't wait until we can sit outside again.
Having eaten at Secundo several times before, I expected good food and service. As usual, they delivered. Sadly, the experience completely fell apart due to the excessive noise level. Normal conversation was impossible. At times, it was almost painful. I would hesitate to return as it ruined what should have been a great meal.
Our server Tatia was terrific . The crispy salmon and seafood spaghetti was delicious! Love the food.
