Great wine and beautiful fall Saturday at Turdo
BEWARE they scammed me. I really hope they didn’t lie about a family member dying in order to avoid completing my shipment. But at the beginning of working with them they were very responsive. Once I paid totally different story. And after pressure they finally said they had not been answering because a family member died. Feeling sorry I told them no problem please be with your family and we will talk later. After waiting again I reached out and nothing. Thankfully I was only scammed out of. $40 but it’s the integrity of the company I’m more upset about. Don’t mock death you don’t want that karma on your back. And if you were that desperate to take my $40 I would have just given it to you. Don’t lie to people.
The view was very nice. You can only do flights inside, which I didn’t like. The wine wasn’t horribly priced but I also didn’t love it. To be fair, I am not a huge wine fan. They didn’t have anything on the website that said no outside food but they had signs posted everywhere onsite. The food was outrageously priced, which I was not a fan of. The patio was very pretty and you can see the grape vines. They also had fans on the patio which made it easier to enjoy sitting outside. It was weird that you walk up to basically someone’s house. It was an okay experience.
This place is incredible. The setting, the people: Excellent! The wine was spectacular! Got to try five different styles and they were ALL great. Thankful to have Turdo in our town ??
Very cool place.
Might be the best winery in Cape May. Mostly dry wines…which I prefer. Every red I tried was spot on. Thought they were closing but happy to see they’re still open!!
While my family was sorry to see it closing, we quickly ordered a case of wine. On October 15th, Luca took my order, charged my credit card, but has not delivered my wine. Since then, he has not responded to any of my requests for updates and now for a full refund. We no longer want the wine, just our money back. Anybody know how to get in touch with someone who can help?
The owner is retiring. We will miss such a lovely family. Hope the new owners are half as nice.
When in capemay ...a must go on the list...fantastic reds and whites are delicious...
Excellent European style wines with helpful guides in the tasting room. Wines tend toward the dry side (which I love). Staff does a great job of recommending things based on what you like.

1st timer at Turdo, upon arriving, plan on parking on road across the street, or just past winery, there is parking near soccer field.Grounds are beautifully landscaped and plenty of outdoor seating. The wines are very good, primarily dry wines, both red and white. Small refrigerator filled with snacks for your visit. Tasting room is very small, upon arriving, they said it could be a 20 minute wait. Grabbing a bottle, or a glass of wine and sitting outside elimates the wait. 4 out of 5. If larger tasting room existed, I would give it a 5. Very friendly staff and very good wine!
OMG, the best wines around! They never disappoint us! All of the wines are very good and the friendly people have always made us and everyone welcomed and part of their family! They take care and love what they are doing and you can tell each time we visit.
Beautiful small family run winery!! We have been coming here for over 5 years and love experience we have had. The family is amazing and if you are here around closing time you can even see the dogs. My wife and I look forward to coming here every vacation.
Although the wine was decent, the tasting was costly. $20 for a few sips of wine, in addition, we weren't able to bring any outside food in to drink with a bottle. They only had light snacks, cheese and crackers available for purchase.
What an amazing wine tasting experience. Truly, one of the few times we’ve been to a tasting (Napa, Sonoma, South Africa, PA, NC…) where every wine was above average to exceptional. If you are a wine drinker, this is the place for you.Note: they only do dry wines, so if that’s not your thing, this isn’t the right place.
