Washington Inn & Wine Bar

Despite my asking that the scallops be cooked well done, and not wet, they came out wet and underdone. The waitress kindly took them back and they were obviously reheated, but still undercooked. Such a waste for a $48 entree. The rest of the meal was fine and the heirloom beet salad was exceptional. For a restaurant that suggests dress should be casual elegance, it was disconcerting to see the young man whom we assumed was the maitre ‘d, dressed in chinos and a sport shirt.

We can always expect a perfect experience at Washington Inn. Food is beyond delicious. Service is excellent.

Norah was a terrific server, and the wild mushroom soup was delicious. We had the lamb shoulder cavatelli (perfect!) and the duck (delightful!)

My husband and I had dinner for New Year's Eve last night. My lobster was delicious and my husband's filet was good. My lobster bisque and creme brule was good also. We enjoy The Washington Inn. We will continue to patronize this restaurant.

The Bar was very crowded and we waited for seats when a couple told us they leaving and we could have their seats when the male bartender told us that those seats were another couple who had been waiting longer than us which was nonsense as he gave the seats to a couple he was Friends with and this was very disappointing and very rude. We have always enjoyed the bar and restaurant and the food and waiter were very good. Really put a negative into our New Year's Eve.

The food was very good, the service impeccable, valet parking a plus. I felt the price before drinks was just a bit excessive.

Dinner was excellent, everyone there was on top of things. The four course meal was efficient without feeling rushed. This maybe the start of a new tradition.

Ann and Edwin were outstanding! Ann was the most personable server, a great conversationist. Will definitely return.

Have been to this restaurant about a half dozen times now. It never disappoints. Great wait staff and excellent food. Short Rib entree is the best. Restaurant tastefully decorated for the holidays.

The Inn is always a pleasure, the food is amazing and the service is top notch. Robin always does creative things with the drink menu and Tyler really makes sure everyone is comfortable while they're there. Probably the best bet in town to be honest.

When in Cape May we always try to go to the Washington Inn. Food and service are always great, they never disappoint. Highly recommend.

The Inn was very charming and decorated nicely for Christmas. Service was good and the meals were delicious.

Excellent wait staff. Delicious food. Definitely save room for the chocolate mousse tower!
