Brought a big party here for dinner because I love Portuguese food. It's been a while since I've dined at one, and few family members recommended coming here. Started off with some shrimp on garlic sauce, calamari, and clams. The sauce the clams came in was ok, ut the other items were pretty bland. too light on the garlic for the shrimp and the calamari was not seasoned at all. It just tasted like fried flour. For dinner I ordered pork and clams and tried the bitoque. The pork was overcooked and again, bland. There was not a single grain of salt used. The bitoque was the least favorite. Again, not salt, not seasoning, not flavor, and the egg was over cooked. At the end of meal, I ordered two espressos. Our dessert came, everyone ate, and when I asked the lady where rhw espressos were she said "I forgot", then brought them out four minutes later. After we were all done, I asked for the check three time and it took them 20 minutes to bring it to me. Because I had a party of 6, they chatged a 20% gratituity, which for the service was excessive (or lack of) Portuguese restaurants are usually an awesome experience, but this one let me down. I should have trusted my gut and went to Elizabeth or Newark were thw real food is. As much as I wanted to like this place, I can say I won't be coming back.

Large portions of good food. Technically Portuguese, but there's something for everyone. Great sangria. It was quiet tonight, so service was spot on, but we've been on busy nights, and service was good then, too.

Parking: This place is located in a residential neighborhood. The parking lot is small so you will likely have to park in front of someone"s house. All parking is free

Nice place tucked into a residential neighborhood. Near and clean. Went for a private event and the catering style food was flavorful but overcooked. Hope to venture back to try the regular restaurant menu.

I visited with family for a birthday. We've been here before but the quality of the food was not good, especially for portugués food. The portugués steak was chewing and not a good piece of meat. The garlic shrimp was not tasty. It's a shame considering so many other options we have to go to eat. The service was excellent and a good clean atmosphere.

Have been coming here for many years and often go for celebrations. We have even had a couple family parties in the back room. The food is always delicious and the staff is pleasant and welcoming. I almost always get the paella Valenciana or chicken in garlic sauce. Oh, and the red sangria is probably the best I’ve had locally. So good!

Good atmosphere and good service. Food could use some seasoning. Especially, their rice. Great place to have drinks. Plenty of parking.

Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian menu items. Small selection.

Kid-friendliness: In my opinion, this is not a kid-friendly place.

I really liked this place. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I think their food is bland. Not everything, but most. Their rice has absolutely no flavor. I did, however, like the shrimp in garlic sauce. The service was good. We sat at the bar, and the young lady who took care of us was very nice, attentive, and made a mean sangria! I would also like to say in all fairness to the review that the place was empty, so I really can't tell if we would have had the same kind of service. I would like to think so. Btw... if you love olives, they have amazing olives in a garlic type sauce that were absolutely amazing. I would definitely go back for the Sangria and the atmosphere, if for nothing else.

Vegetarian options: I would not recommend this place for a vegetarian meal. My friend who is vegetarian usually just gets a salad from here. Not much of a choice for them.

Wheelchair accessibility: The main entrance has a step to get in, but I did see another entrance, which could have been a handicap entrance. Inside, there is plenty of room to move around in a wheelchair.
