10/10… I’ve been in the Carteret area for some time now and I cannot believe that I have never discovered this gem. I ordered the fried chicken meal with mac & cheese, candied yams and rice. The total came out to $28. It was worth every penny I highly recommend and I intend to go back.
I truly believe this restaurant has growth for expanding; the food is amazing!! Especially the cabbage, catfish, yams; I can go on and on. My first time lead me to go here multiple times. I wish this young lady gets plenty of exposure
I bumped into this spot on a whim cuz the wife was in the mood for yams after scrolling and seeing a few soul food posts. So I decided to venture here since it was closest in the area at the time. The inside was cozy and quaint, I took my food to go but had to wait a bit even though I ordered ahead, but dude DID say it would take 25-30 min for my order. Polite young man I should add.
