Food is actually great, portion was reasonable (I ate off my plate before taking a pic) The wait was a bit long, worth it crispy wings, yams weren’t too sweet, and Mac was a bit dry but solid nonetheless. I’d say it’s a go to for central Jersey soul food.
I found this spot on a Google search. I was surprised how good the food was. My server was attentive and helped me with food suggestions. I could tell that my fried salmon was made fresh.
10/10… I’ve been in the Carteret area for some time now and I cannot believe that I have never discovered this gem. I ordered the fried chicken meal with mac & cheese, candied yams and rice. The total came out to $28. It was worth every penny I highly recommend and I intend to go back.
