I’ve been waiting to try this place, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. Fried chicken and Mac & Cheese- $25 for this portion. I respect the food industry greatly, I’ve been in it and know what it takes -and what costs- and this was way over priced for a low quality meal. In addition they had a sign that credit cards had an additional fee, which is fine, but I tried to pay cash and they didn’t have change so I had to pay by CC and absorb the fee. I wish them luck, but I will not be returning.

Asahda's Soulfood is an awesome restaurant. Really good people and really good food. I will be back again. I was on vacation with my wife celebrating our anniversary and looked up a good restaurant nearby by way of Google Map. We both we're satisfied and happy that we did!

I was at Ashada's soul food restaurant for an event and let me tell you, the food was amazing. The Mac/ cheese was one of the best Ive ever had, the fried chicken was seasoned to perfection and my absolute favorite the sweet and spicy wings. I am in awe just thinking about it. Will certainly be back!

Food was good but I was flabbergasted when I received the check for $26.70 for one entree which included two pieces of chicken and two small sides. I was also told the bathroom wasn’t available as it was being used to prep for an event they had that day. Unfortunately for me prices are not listed anywhere in the restaurant but after seeing other reviews it looks like I wasn’t the only one with buyers remorse.

Wonderful food and amazing customer service. The fried chicken, mac and cheese, green beans and candied yams were all so good! The fried chicken was so fresh-tasting. We have not enjoyed a meal from outside like that in a long time. They are also inclusive and understanding of dietary restrictions. The business owner also packages the meal for pick up in such a nice and caring way, almost as if she is making a plate for a relative or family member. This restaurant is such a needed addition to Chatham and Chatham is lucky to have this business. My husband and I will be back to dine again soon! We love cooking as well and know good food when we see it. Thank you for a beautiful meal and wishing you much prosperity with your business.
