I went on the first day, soft opening. The staff is very friendly and professional. The orders came pretty quick. The atmosphere was very nice and presented. Saw the chefs in the kitchen working non-stop, make made me appreciate more for the food. One more thing, this location has waiting area, better then other location, at least it has place to sit, especially when it’s cold out

Sushi is just mediocre, for those who eats real Japanese sushi would know. Ramen was terrible, probably Chinese noodles from a package and charge customer $11.50 for a small bowl of not even real Japanese noodles. By the time I was done it was $55.

Understand Kura just opened but it definitely need some hospitality 101. Sea urchin was bitter and the color of the uni was dark and should not be served to customers. If i am going to pay over $150 dollar i expect the quality is well maintained.

Many tables were not cleaned and caused people to wait outside. There should be improvements where there is at least 2 designated employees to clean and make sure ginger and soy sauce are replenished before giving customer a table. If the two host is standing there holding the pad then why cant they take turn to clean the table vs walking back and forth that area and table is still not clean for over 20 mins. Having more table turn over and maintaining quality is the key to keeping a business open . Do not rely on technology to figure out the seating arrangement but instead use your eyes and observe what need to get done to get tables ready and have customer's in and out quickly.

So, this is the first time for trying out this revolving sushi place. Was it good - no. It was great! Soooo delicious - you get to choose which ones you like on the conveyor belt and when you reach 15 plates, you win a prize, albeit a really small prize.
The used plates are placed in a “slot” which keeps count on how many plates you had. At $3.95, it was certainly not cheap as my wife, daughter and I had a total of 32 plates.
The cost is what keeps this place from getting the full 5 ⭐️.
Still worth a try if you enjoy sushi.

The system on ordering it was really easy and it wasn't a big wait it's definitely more of an experience then the food itself as everything does add up and it can be pricey if your not careful but it was fresh and good quality also the lemon sauce that came with my chicken was very good and I would love to know the recipe that they make it from or where they found it. But in conclusion if you've never been at a revolving sushi bar i definitely think you should try it here and I'm glad I did

Pretty fun experience, so much going on from the revolving and conveyer belt.. and service delivery robot that I forgot to take any pictures. 4 min plates from 1-4 pieces each.. depending on type.
Wagyu plate was a bit on chewy side and only thing I remember that was disappointing.
Everything else was great. Ordered off the touch screen menu and got fresh hot dumplings and soft shell crab tempura was amazing and rolled out on the conveyer belt. Nothing smelled fishy or tasted such, felt very fresh and clean.
This was a fun experience. The booths are great for small groups to share bites or get to keep to yourself and enjoy yourself while snacking.
Dress warmly, because can get chilly in there to keep the food fresh and cold.
We ate 25 plates between 3 of us.. and two apps. So don’t come here too hungry like we were and spend too much.

A very fun environment. We were seated promptly, despite how busy they were. Service was fast, be it the drink robo-carts or the human staff. Placing specific orders were always very quick! There were a few things placed incorrectly on the line... we ended up getting octopus once, from what was labeled as being eel. But it's the only complaint I have, and seeing as it's their first week, I'm inclined to not be all that fussed.

It's nice to have this in NJ, so we don't have to go into Philly anymore! Be sure to sign up for their app, as you build up discount rewards pretty fast on it.

I won’t say it’s the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it was good, there were a lot of choices and the experience makes it a lot of fun. They only charge you for what you take, unlike buffets that charge a flat price per person. Each plate only has 2-4 pieces, so it allows for a large variety to try. From the sushi plates coming on the conveyor belt, to the robot that delivers your drinks, and then the super fancy automatic toilet, (heated seat, bidet, etc), it’s like nowhere I’ve ever been before. It’s brand new and I know new places need to work out kinks, so I’m excited to see if it gets even better.

I love this place it's got the Otaku ambiance :)) The servers were so nice and pleasant to talk to. The food was delicious! My favorite dishes were the takoyaki, chicken gyoza, and the seared scallops with japanese mayo. The bathroom has real japanese toilets with heated seats. 10/10 Bringing all my fwiends next time :3

Very disappointed, I was looking forward to Kura’s opening but will not be going back. I was shocked to see that they charged $3.95 for a cup of tea which is just powder and hot water, and it wasn’t even hot. It took 15 minutes to get a refill and by then i was finished with my meal. Most sushi bars offer that for free, and the sushi was overpriced. The rice was obviously formed by a machine, it was a round ball and the fish would not stay on the rice, in addition the rice didn’t taste at all like vinegared rice. It was cold and tasted like Carolina rice and a couple of orders tasted fishy, which meant that they weren’t fresh. After having just come back from Japan and experiencing conveyer belt sushi there this place doesn’t even come close. In addition the service was horrible. I will be surprised if they last six months, after the novelty of the conveyer belt attraction wears off people will realize that they can go somewhere else and order a sushi deluxe and get a much better product at a lower price, and free hot tea. Also if this is any indication on opening day at lunchtime they were barely half full.

Ridiculously expensive. $3.95 for cup of green tea which is hot water and powder; most Japanese restaurant’s charge very little or it is free. Tea wasn’t even hot. I just returned from Japan and there is no way this is comparable to sushi in Japan. Spent $45 and we were still hungry. Also when we requested refills for our very expensive hot water, we were finished with our meal. No way I’d come back. For this price it’s better to dine at a standard Japanese restaurant. This is just a gimmick.

I spent about $40 here and was in here for about twenty minutes. We were not full when we left but we were just over the whole experience. My husband and I never had a waiter come to our table the entire time we were here. The greeter in the front was friendly and informed us someone would be over to explain the process, but no one ever came. Eventually we just grabbed sushi and ate and ordered water on the screen and a robot brought it over. I was thankful for the iPad to order off of as this made it easy to order drinks and pay. Without this my husband and I would have likely waited all night for someone to actually stop by our table. The concept is unique but I will not be back. I wouldn’t have minded the cost if the food was good. It was very poor quality sushi that did not taste very fresh. It was bizarre to see waiters at every table except ours. We will not be returning or going to any location in the future.

We have been to other kura sushi in nj and florida… just a fun time for my 13 and 11 yr old… but now they are eating a lot more so it price keeps going up for me… i was there for the soft opening. We always enjoyed atmosphere, if you think the price is pricy, then dont go… its not like i come here everday and the food are fine.

WOW! I had never been to anything like this and was nervous to try. But the wait staff was amazing and helped explain everything. The food was delicious and so fresh, the color of the tuna was beautiful. They yell out Japanese which was odd at first, but also kind of fun! Great atmosphere, super fun, will be coming back a lot!
