Figured I’d post here after seeing so many negatives.
To caveat, I did stop by on a Monday at 11am during a rainstorm for lunch. So maybe I missed all the chaos that others have suggested. But my experience was awesome.
In and out of drive thru within 5 mins. I got a cheeseburger meal and the burger tasted great. Hot and fresh. As I remembered. The fries were also hot and fresh and well salted. They might be using slightly different fries than decades ago, the batter appears slightly different but I liked it.
Overall, will come back. It exceeded my expectations already.

The wait in the drive thru for a fast food restaurant was insane. It wasn't even busy.

The burger is upside down, and I never heard of a restaurant. And on Google Maps, it was blurry.

Qualities were small for combo meals for the price
3 piece chicken tenders were $6.99
1 biscuit was $2.43
Totals were very pricey!
$20.43
I tried it but won't go back!

The chicken was hot & delicious 😋. The cowboy sauce is so good. I wish they would bottle it.

Reminds me of years ago when RR was everywhere! Beef was great as were the onion rings, fries, and chicken tenders! The staff was busy and efficient. They were also very helpful! Great experience!

Been awhile since I was at a RR,and that's because they just aren't that many in NJ. When they were in the NJ Turnpike,I stopped all the time because I liked the food and service,so I did a uturn after I passed this spot. Place was crowded, mostly older customers but that was due to it being lunchtime. They got the line down fast and the workers were quite helpful. Being hungry,I had a cheeseburger, goldrush sandwich, and french fries. All pretty good 👍. As a NJ and Philly Diner guy, I appreciate the added choice that RR brings to a very competitive business.

Well I gave it a 2nd try & I'm done. The first time was when they first opened. The food was terrible! I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was hectic. So I decided to return yesterday for the first time & again terrible. The staff is friendly but the food is not the iconic Roy Rogers. My fiancé chicken had feathers. Burger & bun was cold & bun fell apart...signs it was possibly old. The best thing was the strawberry lemonade! The strawberry shortcake was just okay because the biscuit was so dry. Ughhhh I really was excited about getting a Roy Rogers but its honestly terrible. The lobby, fixing bar, drink station & ladies room was disgusting. How can you have so many people on shift & no one attends to the lobby & rest room. Thats poor management. My mom has been in the fast food industry for decades & is a training manager. Multi tasking on down time is so important. The restaurant was somewhat empty & the staff was laughing & joking amongst themselves. I'm all for fun at work, but tend to the cleanness of the store. I don't know if their not following the recipes or what... but it doesn't taste like the stores down south or truck stops. I hope yall can turn it around!

This is what I just picked up on an online order. Just so folks know what they're picking up.

Roast beef undercooked. Every single table was dirty, all the people behind the counter and nobody came out to clean tables? Soda tasted way off, NO FORKS in the entire store? Not what I was expecting

Update:
The General Manager reached out and refunded the order. He also heard my feedback and instilled confidence the restaurant is going to be heading in the right direction. I hope everyone will still give them a chance to do it right! (Increasing Service star rating to 3 for how the General Manager handled it.
Absolutely insane lol. I placed an order for 9:30, I clocked out at 9. Placed it ahead of time to be nice to employees to not have to take an order and scramble through the window. I arrived at the drive thru at 9:21 and was told I had to go inside to get it. Two customers at one table, 6 employees, couldn’t be bothered to just hand it through the window. So I go inside, grab it, left. Thought the drinks were inside, kind of like what McDonald’s does. Nope, no cups, no drinks. I didn’t think about them until I went to grab it after dying from the chew toy they called an onion ring was lodged in my throat. On top of all that, the food was freezing cold already. So I arrived 9 minutes early, food already sitting on the rack when it’s for a 9:30 pickup, and all the employees, as I left, sitting in the window in a group on their phones. Great job guys. You literally just opened and don’t have employees willing to work lol. Can’t believe I paid almost 40.00 for food I am bringing fully back to them tomorrow. I drove elsewhere on my way home to get us something edible. 25 minutes early drive there and back lol. I’m the dumbass but still, wild. Never will I eat anything from a Roy rogers again lmao.
