You simply can't call this joint a grocery store! It's a compact gourmet Italian market/sandwich shop/catering space/coffee break. Ordered 2 Artista salads for lunch - 1 with sliced grilled chicken, 1 with sliced breaded chicken on the side. That salad was so fresh, light, filling and really delicious with the vinaigrette dressing. The rustic croutons added substance and a nice crunchy contrast to the leafy arugula. Assuming the croutons were made at the shop. A very nice change from the "normal" salads in the area. I think I found my local go-to spot! Also a spontaneous splurge on the twice-baked biscotti! Sizeable portion, not too dense and delightfully crispy. I didn't feel so guilty eating so many as they were not overly sweet. Would have gone great with coffee! (See my staged photo of those delicious biscottis)The location is a beautiful historic yellow home turned salumeria. I almost drove past it until realizing I arrived!

My GF and I had lunch here and it was stellar. They were out of the eggplant which saddened me but the meatballs were delicious and the staff are super friendly. Will definitely be coming back soon!

After years of wanting to stop in, we finally made a point of coming for lunch! What a hidden gem! The inside is cute - a handful of tables and chairs for dining and two refrigerator cases of soups, sauces, fresh pasta, imported meats and cheeses etc.Our food was DELICIOUS! We will absolutely be back. I think this place has even more potential that is untapped. I know they do monthly tasting events but would be great to see them host things like charcuterie classes etc. Truly a hidden gem - they seem to do a good business (a steady stream of people while we were there), but they could really blow it out of the water with a bit more ambiance and stepped up marketing!

Best sandwich I've had in years for a reasonable price.

Really beautiful place on the inside. Employees were very nice. I’ve been here twice and each time I’ve found the food to be more than disappointing. The sandwiches are pathetic. On my sandwich there wasn’t enough chicken, mozzarella or roasted peppers. The establishment should be embarrassed to serve this. They can do better

Warm and welcoming family owned and operated Italian specialty store. Everything is delicious! I really enjoy the porchetta, mustard chicken thighs and Tuscany chicken. The mushroom risotto balls are another favorite. To be honest, I enjoy everything they prepare. My husband brings home bags of goodies all the time!We have attended the supper club on Friday nights with foods from different regions of Italy and really enjoyed ourselves. Several courses of unique and interesting dishes.Such a great idea!

I was in the area and decided to stop by for lunch. The first time I went -- on a Monday -- they were closed or on vacation and I never thought to check the hours. It's nice inside with a number of tables for seating. There's also an assortment of packaged meals, soups, sauces, cheeses and other Italian specialty items. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich but it wasn't readily available as they were making more. So I opted for the eggplant panini. It was very good! I was planning to eat only half and that was impossible (lol). Service was great. Food was tasty. Prices higher but what you'd expect. I'll definitely go back.

Wow! This place is legit. Ah. Mazing sandwiches. It’s NYC quality gourmet sandwich shop right here in Chester, NJ. Apparently they also cater! The bread is crunchy and fresh - as if baked by an Italian grandma. The porchetta sandwich is served warm and was my favorite. We’ll be regulars here. (Like if this review was helpful or follow me!)
