My parents came here for breakfast and had multigrain toast. They were charged $3 extra - it was not noted on the menu and they were not told that the bread was extra. We can buy a whole loaf of bread for $3.My father asked why the extra charge wasn’t noted on the menu and at the register girl was nasty but gave them a $1.50 off. When my father asked why he wasn’t refunded the full $3, she said ‘you should be thankful for the $1.50 and don’t bother coming back’. The amount of money isn’t the issue. Stop trying to randomly charge people made up prices and then get nasty when you get caught. And learn how to treat customers. Don’t worry honey - they won’t be back.

I ordered that breakfast at other diners and received a better meal. Better as in cooked, served, and plated. Unfortunately, the muffin was not toasted, and the spinach was dry and overcooked.

Breakfast was really good and plentiful, dinner ambiance was very clean, the servers were attentive, and I never had an empty cup. Everything was served hot, and there was plentiful and good. I would definitely recommend breakfast.

The Chester Diner has been there forever. I first went there when I was a teenager, and I won't mention how many decades ago that was. For a long time, the food was really good and a great value for the money. Sadly, it has changed hands several times in more recent years and the food just isn't what it used to be. The quality just isn't there anymore. So disappointing. The wait staff is still very good, friendly and efficient. And the good ambience is the same as it was years ago.

Food was good. Service was average. If you go in knowing the service isn't anything special, you should have a good experience.

I had the most satisfying and delicious potato bacon soup. Loved it. The waitress was brassy and funny, a real hoot. Very attentive, made sure we had whatever we needed. (She recommended the soup)

Grew up in the area and love coming back from time to time. Have seen it go thru a few face lifts and enjoy the breakfasts and the diner burgers.

My family and I had gone to Chester Diner and were disappointed by the service. We ordered our food That which took about 20 minutes. As it arrived a lot of the food they had forgotten to bring out. Our server had came back And I order my son's hot dog which took around 25 minutes. We had to sit there waiting for him to finish. Not so great. Still an order of fries never came out.

Quick late lunch. I had the cuban sandwich, and it was ok, nothing to travel for.

Grabbed a quick bite here after visiting a farm near by. Got a Caesar salad. The lettuce wasn't very crisp and the dressing was VERY vinegary, wouldn't order again. Mozzarella sticks were not bad but nothing special. Would probably try to find a different restaurant if in the area again.

It's what an older local diner should be. Lunch was OK, we ordered panini. Service was on point.
