Food and service were great. The menu was varied, with chicken potpie a favorite. Lots of desserts and scones.

Adorable and quaint tea room. The staff are friendly, and the food was delicious and included vegetarian options. Great tea and dessert selections!

My granddaughter and I were there this afternoon for tea and a late lunch. I had the summer salad special. We went inside to decide what our choice of a dessert would be and when we came back to our outside table the waitress had taken what was left of my salad. I had planned on taken what remain to go, so I was clearly disappointed. She should have asked me. Sandra

1 star because of uncleanliness.
Flies everywhere. Bathroom was dirty
waitress came from outside, didn’t see her wash hands and gave us utensils. Utensils were not that clean.
They are very slow. Took look to get take out order and to get food. In the past this place was great. They have gone down.

I visited Sally Lunn yesterday hoping to enjoy a late lunch, tea, and dessert. Unfortunately, they were closing shortly at 5 pm. First of all, the staff was so welcoming and helpful. They graciously waited on me for take out desserts. The issue with desserts is that there are SO MANY luscious choices. Closest to the entrance were the scones beautifully displayed. But then, as I moved along, there was an assortment of cakes, pies and so many choices. I settled on a layer cake, of which I forgot the name. It was a white cake layered with lemon curd. I believe the white icing was elderberry. I am a dessert lover but I don't think I've ever had a better cake the light fluffy cake, tart lemon filling, and creamy icing, topped with a golden wrapped candy. I'm currently eating the peach scone for breakfast with included jam. It is incredibly light and fluffy, certainly not dense as some scones can be. In addition to the delicious desserts , I must also comment on the charming atmosphere. It is quaint with displays of tea cups, pots, and an assortment of cute things. I didn't have time to look around enough because they were closing. My daughters and I will absolutely return for a tea service and also lunch. The menu looks yummy. I'm sure the food items will be as delicious as the desserts. Thanks to the friendly staff for taking care of us with only 10 minutes before closing. Fine job!!! Delightful place to visit!!.

I came across this place on TikTok, which claimed to create an atmosphere reminiscent of London, and praised the amazing staff. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite.

I called ahead to ask if I could bring a cake for my niece, who had just turned nine. A staff member confirmed that it would be allowed. However, upon our arrival, we were told that we could not bring the cake inside. We requested to speak to the manager, whose name is Teresa. She informed us that bringing cake was not permitted and that we would have to take it home.

We explained that another staff member had previously told us it was okay. Teresa, however, insisted that she had been working there for 35 years and that no one had ever brought a cake before. Throughout our conversation, she dismissed our explanation and made us feel unwelcome. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication, her demeanor suggested that they did not want us there, despite the fact that it was an ice cream cake that the staff member was aware of.

While one of the staff members was polite and apologized, both the supervisor and Teresa refused to acknowledge our concerns. My overall experience in the restaurant did not evoke the feeling of being in London at all. The decor was outdated, and it felt as though Teresa had gathered items from her basement.

Having visited London many times, which is my favorite place in the world, I can say that the only thing that reminded me of London was a small display of the current king. Everything else felt unprofessional: there was food on the floor, the carpet was stained, there were mismatched and unstable chairs, and the place was very crowded and messy. It resembled an antique shop in desperate need of a cleanup.

Furthermore, I felt that Teresa exhibited discriminatory behavior. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

We came to celebrate our daughters birthday and called when the store opened and asked if we could bring a cake in addition to ordering food and cakes at the restaurant.
We were told we could by a new employee which we had no idea she was new. We came to the shop and Theresa the store manager did not allow the cake, which in theory wasn’t an issue. Another employee retrieved the employee that gave us false information and she was very apologetic. Theresa the store owner was very unpleasant to talk to, did not apologize and refused to acknowledge the mistake of the employee. This place gives the illusion of “cuteness” but they did not handle this mishap with grace. It is sad that they lost a first time group of customers over a silly mistake. Apologies go a long way. I will continue to spread the word about this restaurant.

A sweet little tea shop that serves more than tea. Service was lacking but the food was delicious. Someone needs to repair the bathroom door!

The food, pastries, and tea are all amazing. But man, the lighting situation needs a massive upgrade. Instead of fluorescent ceiling bulbs making the pace feel like a dentist office they could have really nice sconces and standing lamps.

Lovely food, loud and crowded, but wonderful scones

My wife and I have lived in England for many years and when we opened the door, it was both an immediate trip back in time and back to what the Brits are best at: this adorable place is the definition of coziness with a big C! Staff is the friendliest, and they even accepted our dog! Food is good, reasonably priced. At 2pm, it was still busy, so I guess they don’t need extra publicity!

horrible food all around. also poor service, never check on you, and don’t give details. chicken pot pie is pure liquid and apple pie is weeks old and soggy and no flavor. the vibe is poor and looks like an old grandmas basement. spider webs all over and the chairs are painful. never come here
