If you're from NY (Manhattan or Long Island), skip this place —you've had far better sandwiches. Not sure why there’s a crowd, but you’re better off at Jersey Mike’s.
My sister and I both got sandwiches (I went gluten-free, choosing a wrap over their GF bread), and honestly? Average — nothing special for the price. Wouldn’t go back.

I've heard and seen reviews that this place was great. It isn't. Very little meat and cheese on my sandwich which was $11. Less than impressed

Though I'm a Jersey Shore resident, I grew up in the Long Valley/Chester area and have visited The Sub Pub for years. Their venue is clean and they never fail to provide good sandwiches and service. Always an enjoyable stop on my journeys back home. Highly recommended!

Favorite deli in Chester! Their full sized subs are huge and perfect for anyone with a big appetite. Highly recommend their Italian Sub!

I was told this was a good sub shop. Yea, this place is a pass. The subrolls are huge to make up for the lack of taste and texture. Bland soooo bland that makes it only a filler to call what you order a sandwich. Sandwiches were filled with a lot of ingredients, and they are not shy. There are plenty of cold cuts in there, but the bread! God, whoever likes or compliments their bread, should visit an Italian, Portuguese, or French bakery sometime in their lives. They will be disappointed they spent money on sub pub.
Good food, friendly service.

This is the best sub shop in the area, in my opinion. They have a ton of options but I always go for a classic Italian sub. The bread is what makes a good sub and they nailed it. I've been going here forever and they've been around for at least 20 years. I have such great memories going here with my dad when I was a kid. It's also right downtown and you can walk to the gazebo or Grove Street Park and sit and eat. Check it out!

We were participating in a craft show in Chester and stopped to refuel after setting up. Under the assumption that a whole sub was the same size as other subs, we were amazed at how huge the sub actually was. We had half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Food was good, was fresh. Staff were friendlySmall area to sit and eat. Nice place.
