Today I stopped in, ordered baked chicken and 2 side orders of collards. I usually get the ribs, but I wanted something different. Should have just stayed home! Chicken was not baked, it was cold and hard as a rock, looked like old fried chicken, then they put BBQ Sauce on it! WHY! I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS SIR. Collard greens were cold and not the usual. So disappointed… never again

1st gentleman was nice and polite, but the older guy came in and was not a pleasure person, got the order wrong, that the 1st guy took, then he didn't put sauce on the sandwich and was cold didn'tknowuntili hot home.. The sweet potato was not good, it may have been day old .

This food is so good let me tell you!!! But unfortunately that's where it stops the location is unprofessional is very dirty is this real sad I have so much potential but they don't care they really need to do better it's not just about serving delicious food it actually does matter that you keep the place clean and that you are working and not talking.

I stopped while visiting relatives. The price is fair/affordable and the selection great. However the wait area requires an immediate update and lighting. Not appealing for first impressions of food purchase. Food prep/serve area also requires updating to insure sanitary concerns. Noting safety req. the thick plexiglass has minimal visibility and you must order/speak thru the holes. The food was flavorful, however yams were slightly overcooked, Mac was short on cheese, greens were equal stalk vs leaf, turkey wings great, chopped BBQ was good the sauce was poured atop. Generous portions. Id love to see it renovated to create curb appeal, attract customers to increase potential revenue. Could definitely become a real diamond in the ruff.

the bbq sauce is the star here! Under the sauce there is no dry rub on the ribs so its bland.. u can see thru the window

He started years ago food was good over the year food is horrible service is worst than the food the owner is nasty and so disrespectful I try to support local businesses but this place makes it really hard work be back anytime soon the only ones that like the food are the huge rats outside

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. First of all a health inspector needs to stop by here because this place is so dirty. It was an infestation of flys everywhere. If you peak in the back you saw the floors was dirty and it was nasty looking back there. The workers clothes looked dingy and nasty as well. The workers there had an attitude and they looked angry. He told me cash only and then the atm wasn’t even working. It’s 2024 who does all cash anyways. The food was cold and bland and wasn’t fresh. That cornbread is disgusting and the Mac and cheese is bland and the curry doesn’t even taste like curry. Don’t time your time here!!!!! Should’ve known this place was a red flag when you get a dinner with two sides and cornbread for $11-$15 bucks. Bad attitudes nasty food and dirty place
I go here 2xs or more a week there side dishes are all the RAGE Lol rib sandwiches are half slab cut n put with bread for 8$ 1/2 slab $20 yasssssss and VERY GOOD
Good deal for the price. The food changed pre pandemic. I had ribs, Mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread all for $15.00. The cornbread I think was cake but it was good and the ribs were under cooked but also good. They need me in there to cook. I think I was satisfied because I was hungry.

Great hole-in-the-wall bbq spot. Excellent smoked ribs homemade bbq sauce Soul food sides: mac & cheese, potatoe salad, candied yams, cabbage and black eyed peas
