Ordered regular pizza with extra cheese, well done. Pizza came out soupy looking after extended wait time. Had a very salty taste on top of it. Additional pizza split spinach and old school everything was just okay. On both pizzas the crust was more like a wet/greasy tortilla. They were incredibly busy, but the state of our pizzas is inexcusable. The only stars are for the service; our sever was kind and everyone in general was hospitable.

Have had this on my list of places to visit for a while now. Finally had a chance to stop in. It's a real neighborhood bar, and it reminds me of a place I went to growing up (George's Cafe in Brockton). Super thin crust pizza, absolutely delicious. We got one mushroom/onion and one buffalo chicken. Both were excellent. Could've easily eaten a whole pie by myself, so getting two for two people allowed us to get two different types, and take some slices home. It was packed but food ready pretty quickly. Also, it wasn't too loud even though it was crowded and a relatively small place.Parking: Decent sized lot, and it also looked like street parking too

Adored the old-school vibe, and after living in CT for a few years, my boyfriend and I have become lovers of bar pies! Star Tavern was definitely one of the best, we ordered a plain pie well done and cheesy garlic bread for the table. The server was kind and quick and the meal was just what we needed after doing a charity marathon in town!

Went on a Sunday around 4 pm. The atmosphere is great!Service was slow because it was packed, I understand that. I'm not knocking points off because of that. I observed numerous other tables place drink orders AFTER me, and they received their drinks way before mine. That was a minus, in my opinion.The pizza as a plain pizza or with one topping looked great! With 3 or more toppings, it's a mess. The pizza is good though for a bar pizza.

Really really good bar style pizza, but make sure to ask for it we'll done. My son had the eggplant parm and said it was also really good. Wanted to go back the next night . Beer selection could use some improvement but was decent.

Been here 20 times. Pizza is best when cooked well done. Love the char on crust...have to ask for it cause it only comes out that way 50% of time.
