The staff is pleasant and friendly. I originally wanted to get the salmon but I was told that it had to be cooked medium/well to well done after I asked for rare. Therefore I switched my order to the octopus. It was decently grilled and pretty tender. Unfortunately , it was served over a bed of French fries. A little unusual, not in a good way. Since it was an appetizer, I needed to order a separate side with it. I chose the grilled vegetables for $14. It was so small! Two pieces of broccoli, a piece of bell pepper, a piece onion and a mushroom. The hanger steak was done nicely but not worth &48.

Overall all around great! Celebrated my 40th birthday with 8 friends/ family members and all food and drinks were amazing. I will be back! We had several salads, the mezze plate, falafel as appetizers which were all delicious. My best friend, who has a severe gluten allergy was able to eat just about everything. They also notified us of the foods that were or were not gluten free. We also had my 2 year old and the staff was very patient with us and allowed him to just hang out. This is definitely a place we all will be back to.

Avos was success!! Great space we chose to have our baby shower. Andrew is a great owner and manager. He was attentive to our needs and knew exactly what would be hits for our guests. He did not disappoint. We had a wide arrange of foods that were delicious and our guests raved about! The grilled shrimp and hummus was my favorite! He perfectly timed when the different platters would come out so guests were constantly entertained in having options to choose from. The drinks were exceptional! Presentation on them was amazing and even the mock tails made you think you were indulging on a real cocktail. Thank you again and I would highly recommend Avos for your restaurant of choice!
Held a graduation party at Avos and I can’t begin to explain how amazing the experience was. Every team member was extremely kind and understanding. The waiters/waitresses, and the bartender were great with everyone! Andrew is amazing to work with and plan an event with. Avo’s Grill is one of my favorites places to eat in Cliffside Park. I’m from out of town and I’ve been here countless times, and this place never disappoints. The service is impeccable and the food and cocktails are always delicious. My personal favorites are the wings, grilled shrimp, barbeque ribs, skirt steak, and the chocolate lava cake. The vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and the owners are very attentive and friendly. Perfect place for special occasions or just a night out with friends. Highly recommend 10/10.

The good: The drinks were delicious (save for one), the food smelled great (though we were only there for drinks), it had a clean and relatively modern atmosphere, easy street parking.The bad: Service was sloooooow (at the bar). Not just a little slow, inexcusably slow. There were two or three tables seated when we arrived on a Tuesday night, so it's fair to say that it wasn't busy by any means. The first drinks took a long time (and one was just sparkling wine) - hard to say how long since I didn't have a stopwatch going. The second round of drinks took even longer - during much of that time the cocktail ingredients were sitting in the shaker on the bar while the bartender was in the kitchen, so the drink was watery when I received it. All of this would be somewhat excusable had the drinks been $12 or $15. These were $19 cocktails... in Cliffside Park, NJ. Pretty wild. I've paid less for cocktails in manhattan and brooklyn with better service and atmosphere - at a packed bar, no less.Then, when we got the bill, the (20%) gratuity was included. Typically this is fine by me, it saves me the mental effort of doing the math in my head, but normally we have great service at other bars in the area. With a guaranteed 20% tip, it's not surprising the service was extremely disappointing. Despite how good the food smelled, I don't think we'll be back to taste it for ourselves.

So I am working alone of the delivery apps and I visit Avos Grill. The place is nice and inviting. When I go in the order is not ready for pick up. I kindly ask the person at the greeting podium being that the food isn't ready if I can use the bathroom. Poor guy he quickly got nervous and says well uhm, I don't want to get in trouble . I looked at him and said really Sir. It's ok ,seconds after an older fella , whi was either the manager or owner comes from he back with the food. It's so sad that I'm helping this business by providing a delivery service to help bring in business and I can't even use the bathroom. Well it looked inviting but I guess since I'm a delivery person and delivering their food to a customer, I can't use the restroom . Ambiance 5 * treatment of delivery persons -10*.
