Great place to eat Turkish food. Service is excellent & atmosphere is very nice: casual & friendly. Lots of tapas to choose from. Lamb dish is tender & baklava is superb. There’s live entertainment on the weekends. Sometimes one of the guests will be playing a clarinet or a guitar while eating. Lol. Lots of local Turkish people eat in this place. They started as a tiny restaurant & they have expanded to the one next door.
Stopped by here in search of kokorecs, a street food I fell in love with in Istanbul. They're one of the few places that have it in NYC. It wasn't exactly how I remembered, I had it on these cheap hoagie rolls, this was a more artisanal bread. It was still tasty and I enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Aferin, Bravo.
We always have a lovely dinner experience at Meyhane! The ambiance is warm and stylish, making it a very inviting place to dine. The cold and hot mezes are absolutely delicious, my favorite is the lamb liver shish; it’s juicy, fresh, and so flavorful! Also their fried hamsi is sooo good! They also offer a variety of offal dishes (sakatat) that you can’t easily find elsewhere. The Adana kebab is even better than what you’d get in Turkey! Our waiter Ogün is incredibly friendly...
