This bakery has been a tradition in my family since it was the Allwood Bakery. My grandfather used to visit us in Pennsylvania and bring cheesecake with very finally chopped pineapple right in the center on top. It was a real treat! I was sad when the Allwood closed but happy that new owners have reopened it as a bakery. This place is heaven. Honestly, just go there Get an almond croissant, blueberry cheese danish, and espresso or coffee drink of you choice. Or just get anything. You'll come back. Also, this is the only spot I can find making granola with no sugar - they use maple syrup only - and it's bangin!
I always love seeing these guys at the farmers market in Tribeca in Saturday's. From their focaccia, and soft pockets to their quiche and pies, everything is amazing. Always fresh, always delicious. See you guys next week!
