I love discovering new dining experiences when I visit my daughter in Orange, New Jersey.
We ventured over to Clifton to the Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas for a lovely afternoon lunch.
I can see why Spuntio is the place to celebrate special occasions. Today, there's a baptismal lunch, someone's birthday, and a girl's gathering.
Yari, our server, provided the right amount of attention, making for a great dining experience on our first visit to Spuntino.
First, our cocktails: Seasonal Fig Spritz, Elderberry, and Hugo Belle.
Second, my daughter and I started with Warm Olives and Truffle fries-both delicious.
Entrees: 16oz Bone-In Dry Aged Ribeye and the Short Ribs, both superbly prepared
Dessert: s yummy Ciambelle (warm beignets with dipping sauces)
Chef's kiss for ahMaZing food and great warm atmosphere.

The food is always delicious and the service is great! We had the arancini, truffle fries, eggplant meatballs and we were so glad they brought back the wild mushroom risotto, my personal favorite. We've known the manager, Nicole, for years. She's so warm and welcoming, and always checking to make sure everything is on point, which is always is. As always we will be back, as Spuntino's is a favorite of ours!

The food was great as always, but I specifically mentioned when I made the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary. I even reminded the server during our meal and nothing was brought out or done to make our evening a bit more special. A little disappointing given that the food and service here are usually excellent, and especially because the dining room was nearly empty.
Loved this place. Outstanding wine collection and amazing food. Will definitely be back.

We didn't even mention we were celebrating our anniversary, and we left feeling very celebrated. Gabriel was above and beyond 5 stars service. Food was abundant, authentic, and affordable. Thank you for a memorable night.

I like this place, but do not get the cacio e pepe. Because what is this…

Server Matt was enthusiastic and just the right amount of attentive, informative and giving our romantic dinner space. Wine list is expansive. Attitude is approachable, easy going with whatever you wish to order. Food excellent with sampling of charcuterie, fish and pasta. Attractive low light dining with couches and soft booths as well as family tables. Easy to park, clean and well appointed from entry to exit. Look forward to return.

Portions of the food extremely small and the meals were pricey
Don’t order the lamb chops $30 for two small pieces with no side
Left out of there with a $200 bill and still hungry

We started out with two delicious martinis: one espresso and one tini tray- a pomegranate fig martini with a side of truffle fries. We couldn’t get enough of them!
We moved onto our tapas and had the picante pizza with pepperoni and hot honey, fried calamari, and the most delicious homemade Cacio E Pepe. When I tell you each thing that came out left us truly speechless. The cacio e is something I’ll think about for probably the rest of my life.
for dessert we had to go with the incredible Zeppoli’s with salted caramel sauce, Hershey’s chocolate sauce, and Nutella. I got a refreshing scoop of passionfruit sorbet. I’m not normally a dessert person but WOW!
I can’t wait for the next time I come back here because this place was fantastic l. Come say hi to the best server Gabe who took such good care of us and gave us some awesome recommendations!

⭐ 1/5 — Horrible place and terrible food
This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food and service were both at the lowest level.
In the photo, you can see the pasta — it was completely tasteless, so bad I couldn’t even chew it. I’ve been to many restaurants, but I truly don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. The only thing that was actually good was the salad. The pizza was also flavorless, dry, and disappointing.
The service was terrible. I ordered bruschetta that never arrived, and olives that took over 10 minutes. When I said I didn’t want them anymore because it was late, the waiter insisted on bringing them anyway and I just left them on the table — such a waste of money. It’s crazy I said 3 times to him I won’t anymore…
I genuinely hope the owner reaches out because I visit many good restaurants and I never saw service like this. The money I spent here wasn’t much, but it definitely wasn’t worth it.
