Grounded for Life is the only all vegan restaurant in Hunterdon County, so it’s a must-visit if you’re in the area! It’s a cute little cafe nestled in the heart of Clinton near the old mill. They have a good variety of options for decent prices, and I’ve enjoyed most of the food I’ve had in the many times I’ve been here over the years. I definitely recommend checking this place out and ordering from them whenever you can to support an all vegan place!
i’ve been here a dozen times and have enjoyed everything i’ve ordered. Haven’t been disappointed once and will continue to go back for more!
We were on our wat to the Poconos and were delighted to find this cute little spot that offered both vegan and gluten free options . Food was very good and left us both feeling quite content. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely return to try something else.

This place has no milk. Who has a cafe without milk. The espresso drinks were so bad I threw them away and went to Starbucks.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a vegan spot directly across the street from an art museum. We got some chips, a Hello Peanut smoothie, and a cheese burger. Prices were normal. The Hello Peanut smoothie rated high for me on the smoothie scale, that alone I would've given 5 stars for. The staff were friendly and the space would've been a cute spot to hang out in if we hadn't been in a rush. The burger was not particularly special compared to other vegan cheeseburgers and that's the only reason I've given them four stars. I'll also say that if you're vegan and gluten free, there are some baked goods for you, but they didn't have any sandwich options that would've fit the bill.
Best spot for lunch in Clinton! Delicious vegan food with plenty of gluten free options, including gf wraps and baked goods! Also it's worth noting the staff are friendly and the location is prime, mere steps away from the red mill, Hunterdon art museum, and municipal parking lot. Very central to town. Do not miss it!

So glad I found this little gem! I was at Ethos Farm to Clinic for their Farm Days event coming up this weekend. This was the closest thing I could find that look like it had something decent on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that everything is vegan, at least that's what I was told and that's how it appears! I got the El Bofu bowl and the Protein Smoothie. It definitely filled me up! Everything was delicious. The only thing about it that I might have liked better would have been to have the option to substitute mixed greens or romaine for the rice.
I'm going to try to come back and try something else on the menu so I can sneak in one of those desserts! I was too full to try it this time I was too full to try it this time. But they look so good!

Food was so good! Got cheesesteak.. different than others but really good! The homemade Seitan was super yummy! I added sun dried tomato sauce to mine instead of mayo. It could use some spicy pepper but that could just me. The cupcakes are okkk the chocolate one had a weird after taste and red velvet was a bit dry but maybe it’s a day or something so maybe better if they are fresh. But the frosting on red velvet was so good and I don’t even like frosting that much. Will def be back to try something else!

I was in the Clinton location and went to happycow to find a place and this Cafe showed up to my elation. Ordered the raw wrap and it was fresh and a good portion. They also have desserts and got the carrot cake. Highly recommend. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-17
Amazing vegan food. Super nice people running the place. Reasonably priced. Nice mix of healthy vegan food and the fun sort of vegan junk food. Will definitely be back!!!
