Had an expedia reservation. We got here and the whole place is a dump. Front desk said or reservation was canceled by Expedia. My wife's response.. thank God.Now we're dealing with expedia because the desk said expedia canceled it.Someone is not giving us the facts. But honestly I'd rather pitch a tent than to stay at this hotel.

Imagine that an Embassy Suites was abandoned 10 years ago and one day someone bought the abandoned hotel and opened it to the public…AS IS. The driveway and entrance are a 4WD dream. There has been NO landscaping here for years. Elevators Broken. Ice Machines Broken. I had a weird feeling that I was in a Stephen King novel. All common area carpets and stained and waffled. The room was awful - dirty, unkempt and tragic. Dead hornets on the windowsill - curtains stained with….varnish? Sink faucets would not turn off and the worst… Two (2) bath towels - that had the thickness and absorbability of a bandana. Weirdest part - they did provide nice soaps and shower gels. Just a creepy place. Overall feeling was I stayed in a room in an abandoned building that a town government would put people in after a natural disaster - earthquake or flood or something. My favorite part was walking through the front and back doors where multitudes of guests go to smoke…Just an ALL AROUND creepy place. But the location was perfect for our needs. Again, it wasn’t like I suffered through the entire night…just the creepiest hotel I have ever stayed in.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! We had a block of rooms reserved for a family reunion and at the last minutes EVERYONE had to move to another hotel. The Hotel is closing and already under major construction, ceilings open, wires hanging, no bar or restaurant and what you see on the website will not be what you see now. I booked in advance on Expedia, I did cancel through them but only received 50% refund and the hotel refused to give balance. I never even checked in after I saw what other family members had dealt with. Family got stuck in the elevator and there was no elevator phone in service. Fire Dept and Police were called and a report made. Awful experience and it's a shame that they are still selling rooms.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst experience of a hotel I’ve ever had. our check in time was 3pm, we walked into the lobby at 315pm we people yelling about the elevator not working, no one could find their rooms or stairs. My husband made it up to the desk and they told us our room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. Mind you we had to be at a wedding at 430. A lady in the lobby thankfully shared photos of her dirty room with us and gross sheets. So we left, and got another hotel. Never again!!

Booked our rooms over a month before our stay with our son's travel baseball team and we were told that they had computer glitches and were overbooked and couldn't accommodate us. They said we should go drive around to find rooms. The person at the check in counter was so rude. They also had the nerve to try to charge my credit card for a cancellation fee but that I could get a refund on the service fees. My wife and I argued until we got a full refund from them
Terrible ! The sink was literally disconnected from the the counter top ! All my toiletries was wet with the leaky faucet. Construction is being done on the building looks crazy when you park. The elevator is brinks on BOTH sides , and it reeks of cigarette smoke. Terrible stay will never come back again
They lost a reservation made months prior and said it was booked up and I was out of luck, so I had no room.Since I'm working a dog show that's taking place here I'm still reviewing what I can see. The place is in the middle of many renovation projects but it's a mess without the renovations.Best thing is that it has plenty of parking IF the renovation supplies, dumpsters, pile of old tubs and the old furniture arent taking up spots. The ball room and flooring where they did seem to do renovations already are decent ish but this is not a 3star hotel currently.Noteworthy details: The upper side entrance is NOT accessible or ada complaint and the staff is fair at best about caring
Under no circumstances should you book here. We thought we had a room until we arrived and found out that our room as well as others weren't clean, and left us rushing to no be homeless for a night. However maybe this is a good omen, taking stock of the hotel from the lobby it appears to be the defiled corpse of a holiday inn, kept going in a zombie state until a building inspector will have to forcibly put it out of it's misery.

this place is very unprofessional. i had a reservation with my mom and little brother and called to say we will be coming in after check in time, whoever i spoke to on the phone said okay. we get to the hotel and they supposedly have no rooms available. mind you, it’s 10 PM at night. how do we have a reservation but no room? they were trying to send us to another hotel without refunding us our money. this is ridiculous.

Booked this hotel because it was close to my daughter in Clinton. We pulled up to the hotel and there were construction materials all around the perimeter of the hotel. It looked like a junkyard. We walked inside and there were 2 people ahead of us at the desk. The first guest was not happy and wanted to see a manager. There was no manager on duty. The second guest complained that the room was dirty and they needed it cleaned. That guest also wanted to see a manager. We get to the desk and the employee looks up our reservation and then proceeds to tell us that there are no clean rooms because housekeeping didn't show up. He told us to try a Hampton Inn down the street that I already knew had no availability. Absolutely horrible experience! There was a line behind us waiting to check in so I'm sure there were more unhappy customers. It wasn't the fault of the employee but shame on management for not giving us advance notice about the lack of clean rooms and for leaving the employee to deal with all the unhappy guests. Do not book a stay at this hotel!

Booked a room and paid for it weeks in advance. The night of they say they are fully booked and I cannot get the room I paid for!?!?!?! Left stranded after a wedding without a room. Manager was of no help and didn’t care. Took my money and I had no place to stay.
If you can stay elsewhere, please do! There were 5 of us who had booked rooms here, and several of us had issues with the hotel finding our reservation, or actuallly keeping our reservation! The hotel has seen better days for sure. The decor, furniture seemed to be from the 90’s. It was probably the filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
The bar and restaurant staff are very friendly! Great place to stop in for dinner and drinks. Also, the pool room is a fun place to have a party. There are 4 conference rooms for rent with food and beverage service available.
I once wrote a review saying that most motels were essentially the same in terms of "bed, TV, etc." and what truly set one apart from the other was the service. This is the exception that proves the rule. The staff, from check-in to check-out, was terrific, and should not be held to account for any of what is to follow. The property? Less so. Start with an elevator (the only one of two in actual service for our entire stay) that went up at glacial speed and went down faster likely more due to gravity than anything else. The room was standard, though showing its age, until we got into the bathroom. The water mechanism came off on our first usage, and the soap dish fell off soon after. Half the hotel was apparently closed for desperately needed renovations, and the open sections indicated they likely should've just shut down completely for the rebuild. Half the parking lot was cordoned off (with supermarket shopping carts and police-style tape; a lovely touch), and the part that wasn't closed, wasn't great. I have traveled a LOT over my 45+ years of adulthood. I've stayed in chains and in non-chains alike, from Motel 6 to top-of-the-line resorts. I can honestly say I've never seen a place this shabby. I stayed at this property on the recommendation of the website used for the event we attended. They will be getting a copy of this review. I feel for the staffers at the Liyo; they are friendly, efficient, and try very hard to serve their customers. They deserve a better hotel, and I hope some day they get one.
Upscale roach motel. When we first arrived, the clerk could not find our reservation. Good thing I printed beforehand. We were upgraded to a suite. However, the room was dirty, the tub had mildew, the sofa was ripped apart, the rug was worn and dirty, the towels were ripped and worn.I attempted to get towels for the evening but was told that there were none available until morning.During our 2-day stay, we received no housekeeping. Had to keep asking for fresh towels. The staff was super nice and very welcoming. Don't be deceived by the picture in the elevator showing a hot breakfast. THERE IS NONE.The rates were NOT cheap either.
