Not impressed at all by this restaurant. Food was not what you should be served for a $25 pasta dish. To call that mushroom ravioli which included no mushrooms and a watery flavorless sauce is an insult to Italian food.

We can’t say enough good thing about our evening! even though it was a cold and snowy night,they stayed open so we could celebrate the 85th birthday dinner we had planned. We all loved our food! The appetizers and dinners were amazing. The calamari and penne a la vodka were fan favorites. The view of the river and exceptionally service made this an amazing dinner experience! We will be back soon 😊

A great Italian restaurant in scenic downtown Clinton, you can enjoy the view of the river during the summer or the cozy fireplace during the winter. The pasta dishes are packed with flavor no matter which you get, the cakes are phenomenal, and the kind service is always appreciated!

In the warm weather, it is glorious to sit outside by the river. The food is gourmet and delicious. We all had something different and couldn't decide who's was best. In the winter, the ambience was lovely, looking at the river from inside with beautiful music playing softly and a nice fireplace. Highly recommend.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit & have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The River Mill View for the Town of Clinton, our 122nd town.
Great service & lovely views along the bank of the South Branch of the Raritan River and across from the famous Red Mill. Food was enjoyable for lunch on a crisp fall day. We enjoyed the Beet Salad, Black Angus Burger, and Grilled Octopus.

We went there because we saw that dogs were allowed on for outside dining. What a great spot on the river. The food was great too.
Parking: The are is often busy but it’s worth the walk if You have to park on the other side of the bridge or down the street.

A hidden gem and our favorite restaurant in the area. They have a gorgeous patio by the water in warmer months, and cozy indoor seating in the winter. The food is delicious and service is always flawless, even when they are busy. The team is patient and kind with our children. We visit regularly and often bring out of town guests.

We chose this place because he is from out of town and was hoping to eat "by the river" ... only thing we could find closeby. I'll start with the good - location was great. Servers were friendly and attentive.
We ordered the lobster bisque. Neither one of us had more than 3 spoonfuls. There was no lobster in the bisque, only small white "noodles". There was no lobster flavor, just a red broth.
For dinner, we shared the seafood fra diavolo special. It did not have nearly as much kick as you'd expect in a fra diavolo, but we had a few bites each and set our plates aside.
They are byob but do sell wine, so we caught up over a couple of glasses and enjoyed the view.

First time here, exceeded expectations. Prompt, professional and friendly service, delicious food. The only thing missing was a list of fancy cocktails but they have wine by the bottle. Very nice evening though and we'll definitely return!

Tried this place out for the first time tonight and was so impressed! The service was excellent and immediate, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Gorgeous view right along the river too. We are for sure going to recommend to our friends and will be back soon!
