How unfortunate the bad experience lived in this Chipotle of Closter !! The attention of the first service assistant is terrible!! When ordering a Burrito and selecting each of the ingredients, I placed portions as if it were a child or to eat a baby! I’m sorry for the bad experience in this Mexican food place! Very, very bad!! I am a customer who consumes in this food chain!! I spotted many shops along the east coast of the United States!! Miami, Orlando, New York! Englewood and in all the portions are good, you are very good!! The quality of the products harvested and made exclusively by “CHIPOTLE” are of very high quality !! But this is an abuse of a client! I know and understand that most of the customers there are students but that is extremely unusual! That’s not why I’ll stop eating at Chipotle!! But I will never visit it there again! I suggest the bosses pay more attention to the staff they train so that their ranking and their acceptance go up as well as their qualification in this closter room!

This happened at 1:54pm today 10/26/2025 !! Thank you! I didn’t even have time to take pictures motivated by the bad time experienced by this place

I want to clarify it was not from several people! It was only the first to start on the dispatch line

Dear Chipotle Customer Relations,

I am writing to file a very serious complaint regarding the unacceptable and unprofessional behavior of the store manager at your Closter, NJ branch on October 8, around 6:30 PM.

I was dining in the restaurant with my two young children (ages 7 and 2).
While eating, I placed a separate online order for chips and guacamole because my son wanted more, and I could not leave the table unattended.
A few minutes later, I went to the front to check on the order. The manager told me that online orders have to wait, even though there was no one else in line and three employees were available. I returned to my table but checked again shortly after, and the manager said the order was still not ready.
I politely asked if one of them could simply hand me the guacamole since I was already in the store, with no line and two children waiting at the table.

Instead of helping, the manager insisted I had to wait for the online order to be “packed,” showing no common sense or flexibility, especially considering I was physically in the restaurant.

What happened next was absolutely unacceptable.
Both the manager and the cashier began laughing at me in a mocking way. When I asked the manager for her name so that I could report her behavior, she flat-out refused and said, “No, I’m not giving you my name.” I told her it was her responsibility to identify herself when a customer requests it, but she kept refusing — laughing together with the cashier, almost as if they were trying to humiliate me intentionally.

Then, when my 2-year-old accidentally dropped her cup on the floor, I simply asked for a replacement cup. The manager said “No, because you are rude.” When I asked the cashier for a new cup, she held it out and said “Say please.” I was stunned.

When I reached to take it, she snatched it back out of my hand.
I was left speechless — as a mother, as a customer, and as someone who has never experienced such blatant disrespect in any restaurant.

This was not “bad service”; this was bullying and humiliation from employees representing your brand.

To make matters worse, this is not the first time I’ve had an issue with this same manager. About a month ago, she overcharged me nearly $10 for a kids’ quesadilla meal by claiming that adding chicken was an “extra $5,” which was completely incorrect. This shows a clear pattern of incompetence and disregard for Chipotle’s policies and customers.

That evening, while my children were watching everything unfold, I felt completely powerless and disrespected. No mother should ever be treated like that in front of her children — in any restaurant, let alone a major company like Chipotle.

This is a crowd place and I can not find a parking spot, so sent my 13-year old daughter in to order and get the food. After we arrived home, we realized the food only half size as other locations besides, all the meat they gave are burnt and taste like burnt. Terrible! How can you treat a girl this way! Just because she has no adult accompany her?

They need to train servers. When did something wrong they argue with customers instead of apologizing to customers.

Went to pick up my order tonight. Every single table was filthy with dirty napkins and left over trays. Took 20 minutes to get my online order from when we ordered it (it would have been faster if we just went to the counter). Once received, half of our order was missing including meats and shells. Super disappointed and won't be returning to this location which is unfortunate since it's the closest to home.

This was my first time at this location and I was surprised by how little the employees were putting in each scoop. I overheard a few people before me asking for 'a little more, please.' When it was my turn, I noticed the same thing. They were really trying to scoop small amounts. I ended up asking for more too. I probably won’t be coming back to this location.

The chicken was burnt black and rock hard. Had to remove all of it making my meal an unintentional veggie bowl. Rice also undercooked and hard. Worst Chipotle I’ve ever had not only in NJ but in all of America.

always great food, but what a dirty store. On top of the store being dirty every single time I come here the soda machine is broken. I don’t get it even the help says it never works. People want drinks with food, Solve the issue ready.

I go to the Chipotle in Closter Plaza pretty often and it’s always a solid experience. The food is fresh and made just the way I like it. I usually get a burrito bowl with chicken, brown rice, and all the toppings, and it always tastes great. The staff is friendly and quick, even when it gets busy. The place is clean and well-organized, and I never have to wait too long, whether I’m ordering in person or picking up an online order. It’s a reliable spot for a quick and tasty meal.
