Had a really disappointing dinner here. Their 깐풍기 (spicy fried chicken) was soggy and the interior could use some updating. It may be a bit further drive for some people but Hong Ban Jang is way better.

Not the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in the Bergen county out there, but gave 4 stars for the convenience location it deserves. Closter is definitely up and coming region for new Korean restaurants.

Not sure how they’ll survive with Ah Suh Won in tenafly (my favorite), and about-to-open Hong Ban Jang in Northvale, but hopefully, they’ll update the interior and thrive along with other Korean-Chinese in the area.

The taste of food is important, but service is even more important. They are in the service industry, but they don't know what is the service.

I used to visit this place often a few years ago when I worked nearby. I recently came back for the first time in a while, and it seems like the chef has changed. The food tastes completely different from what I remember — it’s really disappointing. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning. So sad…😭

About eight years ago, I went there with an acquaintance. I ordered ganjjajang (black bean noodles with separately served sauce). At the time, I saw a note on the menu that said to let them know if the sauce wasn't enough. So while eating, I asked for a bit more sauce because it was lacking. Then the staff went to the kitchen and came back saying the chef told me to go buy more if I wanted it... The server lady was so embarrassed she didn’t know what to do... I was completely dumbfounded—it was such a humiliating and insulting experience. I was treated like a beggar. I never went back after that.

But I went again recently... They seem to view customers as nothing more than machines that hand over money. Whether it's jjajangmyeon or jjamppong, there's absolutely nothing special about it. I heard they opened a new location in Tenafly, so I’ll try going there instead. I'm glad—this place used to have a monopoly, but now there are options. This place deserves to go out of business.

We ordered delivery multiple jjangmyung gupbaegi with kampongi and tangsukyuk. We didn't receive our full order and the restaurant mocked us and acknowledged that we only got the single noodles order and did not care to fix the double noodle order. They just laughed and said if they wanted the extra noodles which we ordered we would need to order a new meal and they would send the order. This is completely thievery and just fraud. How you know that you don't deliver the order aren't apologetic for your mistake but tell the person in a rude manner and order more is insane and complete fraud. Even if the food taste decent the morals is clearly corrupt. There is many places near by with better food with in minutes and better service.

Management do better, i would have not cared to leave a review but laughing at your customers for your mistake (knowing its your mistake) is not acceptable.

Just rude! Got our order wrong and laughed at us when we asked for a correction. They refused to fix the order unless we ordered more food. Everything was wrong and the little food provided was stale and gross.

The workers are very rude and just want your money. My dad tried to swipe his card to pay and swiped incorrectly so the older lady who worked the register literally knocked my dads hand which made him drop his card to the floor and she didn’t say a word or acknowledge it. In Korean culture that’s a very shitty thing to do to someone you don’t know. But she didn’t care because age is more important. The only reason this place is still in business even with shitty food and service is because Koreans love black bean noodles and this is the only place in the area to get them. And it tastes bad anyway

This is literally a gem and anyone that leaves a negative review just hasn’t gotten the right food. This place is absolutely a gem! If you haven’t been recently, it’s an amazing place to have Korean-Chinese fusion. I will be back!!!
