Chicken tastes very gamey. I really didn't enjoy my salad and couldn't eat it. It's not that the chicken was spoiled per se, I just don't think chicken should have such a strong, taste and smell.

Drive by this a lot. Always a full parking lot, so decided to drop in and get a taste. On the menu was the farm burger. Not sure where the meat is sourced from, but it had a signature sauce. Probably some mix of ketchup, mayo and something else The burger was very filling, and the fries were the best part. As for the bun, not sure if it is made on site, but my opinion is it a little too thick and dense. Definitely a filling meal though. Will return again to try other items like the cookies and such.

It was my first time going to the farm cafe, The rating was high and I took my family to try it. The food was ok, the service was not to friendly and the ambiance was nothing special. I can say that I was very disappointed, and will not go back.

Nice local business, good burgers, good fries, nice atmosphere, historic location, fun place to eat, super friendly employees. While waiting for your meal you can view and read about some of the history of Closter and NJ from the Revolutionary war including the Closter Horseman who saved Washingtons army from the British.Farm burger appears to be a normal frozen patty from the grocery store since it has a very unique and well known patty shape with sharp edges and meat was hard packed. It's Bubba's Frozen Burger patties! Take a look online or buy some from the grocery store and you will instantly recognize the patty shape frozen and cooked. This resulted in an ok flavor but the meat was dry, tough from being compacted, and left a dry texture in my mouth. Not juicy at all. The fries are good, not amazing. They are short stick fries, slightly thicker than regular fast food fries but with the same seasoning as twister fries. Red Robin burgers are still the best and their steak fries are also the best too.Pricing is too high at roughly $15 per person for a burger and fries and no drink. Would be better if they had a meal combo including burger, fries and drink at that price or cheaper. In October you can pick your own pumpkins in their large pumpkin patch.Lots of fresh made desserts and good drink selection too. They harvest fresh honey here.Parking is free and plenty since it's never too busy. It is unpaved and just loose rock fill, so drive slow to avoid kicking up pebbles that may scratch your paint.

Top notch bacon cheeseburger. Amazing. Friendly staff and clean. Chicken Pot pie was amazing also. Straight up home made quality. Will come back.

This place is great. I see why it's considered in the top ten of Bergen County for Burgers. The food is fresh and you can really taste the difference. The employees are very welcoming and they bring everything to your table, picnic style. I decided to try it as a little day trip for myself and would recommend everyone else do the same. Everything is homemade.

Everything is overpriced, and the staff leaves a lot to be

I just had the Famous Farm Burger (with cheese, lettuce, onions, ketchup, & Mayo)… I then ordered onion rings just to put them in the burger lol. This was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Onion rings were great and crispy and the fries were also great.

Fun place. Fresh eggs, fresh ice cream in pints, fresh cookies, fresh pies, burgers, and you can feed chickens! I drive by here all the time and finally had a chance to stop in for their burger. It's grilled on the spot when you place your order, and while it's good, the show stealer is is the ice cream. Great flavors that you'll fight over, it's almost it's hidden secret. If the hidden secret wasn't already being to put coins in the dispenser and getting chicken feed. The coops are just down the farm, a short walk from the outdoor benches. It's pure fun, just like this place.

This was my first visit to Farm Stand Cafe. It was a Saturday at 10:15am after finishing the nearby Haworth 5K race. You'll notice honey everywhere. I ordered the Farm (cheese) Burger and also grabbed a brownie and pumpkin ice cream. I enjoyed my meal while watching other customers and listening to 20 minutes of Jimi Hendrix. The burger was not juicy but the sauce made for an acceptable tasty substitute so that it's not dry. The ice cream was amazingly fresh albeit the hay, grass and hair I found in this farm product. Just because it may be unintentional and foreign doesn't mean it is toxic since it's still healthier than the frozen chemicals sold in supermarkets. I ate the brownie three days later. It was quite rich with chocolate.

This USED to be one of the best burger places. Not anymore after they have changed their chef two weeks ago. This week, we had two Farm Burgers, and a house salad. Wait for 37 minutes. The burgers came out COLD, and dry and with no source, no onion, very hard buns with the very dark green looking like from a frozen bag of vegs. Taste worst that you expect or get from other chain fast food joins for close to $10 each.As with the House Salad. They just took it out from the freezer, because those are still frozen ice TOGETHER with the tomato and greens in the salad. You can clearly tell that they did not even bother to let it defrost it and just gave that to use from the freeze and served.Talked to the manager and said that the chef is two weeks new. That may be an excuse, but this is clearly not the same one we used to enjoy anymore.Unless they correct the problems, retrain the chef, we are not going to go there anymore.

We loved it! Great for little kids to explore the farm and the animals and the food was delicious. There is also an antique shop across the street that was lovely to walk around in a historic location

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I found the two items (hamburger and pulled pork sandwich) that I ordered to be just average. The hamburger was unfortunately dry, and while the pulled pork sandwich was tasty, the size was quite small. Considering the rave reviews by other Yelpers, it is possible that the chef just had an off day with the dry hamburger patty. Farm Cafe also has cookies, pies, and ice cream so maybe I will go again in the future to try these out. If you're a fan of chickens, there are a lot of kitschy chicken decorations and objects inside that make for interesting viewing.
