This unassuming Korean bakery located in the corner of Closter Plaza is pretty sweet and quite a gem. The shop is much bigger than it looks from the outside and there is plenty of space for big groups. Huge selection of baked goods here as well as a wide range of specialty desserts and drinks for those looking for adventurous options.
The lady at the counter recommended one of their recent concoctions, black sesame shaved ice, which was fantastic. I would say all the items are on the pricier side but everything is made in-house which can't be said for many of the bakery chains.
Highly recommended for a low-key bakery spot in Closter. I'll definitely be back soon.

Today, 7/13/17, my wife and daughters went to church I often visit Gato! The bread and croissants are smaller, but the price is the same as before, Did they change the baker? It's bigger than other places. They made it bigger and sold it, so there was no profit. I noticed that everything was smaller. Is this the same? I don't want to go again.

I used to love the mocha cream bread here and bought it often, but I recently went back and it tasted really bad. I was honestly shocked at how much the quality dropped. What happened to all the restaurants in this plaza? Everything just tastes terrible now.

Hands down a great spot to get coffee and some baked goods! Located in a great plaza so you can sit and do some work and then get lunch! Also a great cake selection for big events, highly recommend!

They recently increased the price on everything by 30-40%. I used to go to grab something quick but the extreme price hike is disappointing. Will not visit anytime soon.

The best coffee in town, hands down! Every visit is a treat, not only because of their excellent coffee but also the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff always greet me with a smile, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee and friendly service!

I went in there to use the bathroom and I decided I wanted to get boba. The people there were very rude and I could tell they were talking about me in front of my face. I would avoid this place if I were not Korean because there were people in front of me and they didn’t get treated that way. It made me really uncomfortable and it’s a shame because the food looked good. Please look at the other reviews that say they are rude to customers!!!

My girlfriend picked up a sliced cake and found mold in her cake. This was 5 days ago and she has been sick for past 5 days. PLEASE DO NOT BUY CAKE FROM THIS PLACE. If cake isn’t fresh, honestly I don’t know what could be fresh in this bakery.
