We had great service (Carlos) and a very nice meal of the shrimp cocktail (standard), meatball, mussels in white wine & veal saltimboca (tender but use less spinach). I do think the meatball could have been seasoned a bit more but otherwise good overall w proper texture. We sat outside which was lovely so noise level was fine. We will definitely be back ??

Thank you Lucio's! Being regulars of Locale for many years, we were very concerned over the transition to new ownership. Raul and his staff have renovated the restaurant and bar area. They managed to actually improve the entire dining experience. New management was astute enough to keep everyone's favorite restaurant guy Norman for continuity, and bring back chef Carlos who created many of Locale's favorites. The outdoor setting remains one of the best in Bergen County. Carlos has brought back many favorites like the Gondola Ravioli and created new additions like Chicken with truffle risotto. Those of us who usually do not order Chicken when we go out, will be so amazed! The drink menu has been expanded. The wine list selection is complete and well priced. We are so happy to get our local weekend go to restaurant back/ better than ever!

Service was poor at best, food was good, not fantastic, considering the price. I had to get up from the table to find my waiter to get the glass of wine I ordered over 15 minutes prior, watching him serve drinks to other diners during that time. Our ice cream dessert was sitting out so long the scoops of ice cream couldn't be recognized as it was turning into soup. Our waiter apologized numerous times and explained that the "other waiter" had called in sick. And this was what we were forced to experience as a result. I would think twice about going back.

My husband and I sat outside in the patio area. The atmosphere was very pleasant and pretty. The staff was very attentive. The food was excellent . My husband had the osso bucol and I had the pasta with broccoli rabe and sweet sausage. The owner even stopped by our table to see how everything was. We were regulars at Locale and now will be regulars at Lucios.
