I recently ordered Chinese takeout from this place, and it was anabsolute delight! The Kung Pao Chicken was savory and spicy, with tender chicken, crunchy peanuts, and a flavorful sauce. The Moo Shu Pork was a standout, with tender strips of pork, crisp veggies, and delicate pancakes that allowed me to create delicious wraps. The Fried pork Dumplings were crunchy and juicy, filled with a savory mix that was simply irresistible. The portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and fresh. The combination of these three dishes showcasedthe chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to delivering high-quality Chinese cuisine. This will undoubtedly be my go-to spot for a flavorful and satisfying takeout experience!

I recently ordered from New China Wok and was thoroughly impressed. The food exceeded my expectations, earning this establishment a solid 5 stars. The General Tso's Chicken was perfectly crispy, with a flavorful balance of sweet and spicy. The Shrimp Fried Rice was a delightful mix of plump shrimp, fluffy rice, and colorful vegetables. Additionally, the Vegetable Spring Rolls were crispy .The entire meal was not only delicious but also delivered promptly and hot. I highly recommend New China Wok. for a delightful experience with authentic Chinese takeout dishes.

Do not recommend. My family and I picked up food fresh and my kids were unable to even bite through the chicken we ordered, the egg rolls weren’t even chewable, and the dumplings we ordered were NOT good. The looks are just as bad as the taste.

I have been a fan of new China Wok for many years. However, the last four times I have ordered. I have been disappointing. The garlic sauce is way too spicy and hot. The ribs were burnt and chewy. The Mushu pork was tasteless. Overall I feel the chef has changed, it is not the same food I used to get for sure. I hope they correct this situation. Disappointing.

Ever since my family and I moved to Demarest New China Wok has been our go-to guilty pleasure for Chinese takeout. The other 1 star reviews are either bogus or they are trolling. Food is always consistent and good, never had an issue.

Nothing to rave about...nothing to complain about, just your average Chines takeout place. I asked for noodles for my soup: they gave me more fortune cookies
Felt compelled to write a review after seeing all the negative ones.First off, the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The lunch special is a great value. $40-$50 easily feeds a family of four with leftovers. The high price complaints are likely due to people ordering through a delivery app which then tacks on extra fees to pay for their cut.Compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, this one is less salty, not overly sweet and not oily. If asked for, they also do an excellent job at making dishes extra spicy. The only minor complaint is that a lot of the dishes are pretty similar. Flavor is similar but the vegetables are different.Best Chinese in the area, tried out a ton of sit down restaurants trying to find one for a family members 90th birthday - it's unfortunate this one is takeout only. We were considering renting out a hall so we could have them cater it. Outside of NYC, I find this place to be the best.Recommended dishes: fried dumplings, hot and sour soup, beef with scallions.
Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian dishes and the meat dishes also have a lot of vegetables in them.
Parking: There is a large parking lot behind the business, you need to enter on Durie. From the lot there is an alleyway that takes you right next to the business.
Dietary restrictions: I have a family member with diabetes and his numbers are always excellent after eating from the healthy choice menu (along with small amounts from the regular dishes). The food is not overly salty, sweet or oily like most Chinese take out.

Disappointing ! Fried rice was one note did not appeared to be fried and rice was less than half container. Most of container was big chunks of veggies but whole dish lacked any depth of flavor. Scallop dish lack flavor and was bland. The color of both dishes was very similar. No finesse, very mechanical preparation.
Everything was bad. The chicken was undercooked and the prices are high. We paid $46 dollars for 2 people and ended up throwing it out. Not even the fortunes were good…
