We love coming to this restaurant. It is a comfortable and classy restaurant with good service. The food is great. I love the steaks and everyone wants to make sure that you're happy. I will be back.
Consistently Fabulous- Always a great meal prepared exquisitely. The service is also impeccable. When I want to go to a great steakhouse, my choice is always SEAR House in Closter.
The service at Searhouse is nothing short of exceptional. My waiter was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that we were satisfied The atmosphere is equally impressive, combining elegant decor with a relaxed vibe that makes it ideal for any occasion. I highly recommend visiting Searhouse. Treat yourself to a culinary journey that you won't forget. Bring your friends and family along—it's the perfect place to create lasting memories over delicious food!
Waiter was horrible, he seemed very rushed and was not treating us as customers as he should to align with what a steakhouse service should be like. He seemed like he may be new but who knows. He would not check up on the table, get our drinks in a timely manor or get simple things like condiments for the table. He made it so we will never go back to pay the price we did for the service we received.
You can always enjoy a great dinner here.
We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday and I was a vibe ! The food was delicious and service was top tier!
Food was not great. Family of five. Steaks and dessert were good but that was it. The clams were really bad. I don't recommend the linguini and clams. For the price, i rather go to Sparkhill Steakhouse.
Excellent service beautiful atmosphere and great food Very easy to see the entire staff cares .. and that carries over to the kitchen as our food was presented beautifully
The steak and service were very good!! Really nice and relaxing restaurant. The drinks were good as well. I would definitely recommend Searhouse!!
We went to Sear House for my son's 18th birthday, and the experience was a mixed bag. For a steakhouse with "Sear" in the name, I would have expected better on the steaks. Mine came out perfectly cooked. My son's was both overcooked (medium to med-well when he ordered med-rare) and didn't have a good sear - the outside was more gray than brown. My wife's (apparently frozen) ravioli came out cold in the middle. She sent it back (we're not usually senders back of food) and it came out better the second time. This happens, I understand. The real issue was that our waiter never once acknowledged the error. We had to track down a food runner to send it back, because our waiter disappeared once the food arrived. After we let them know about the issue, our waiter proceeded to walk by our table several times without saying a word to us - no apology, nothing at all. Obviously it's not his fault there was an issue with the food, but an acknowledgement or apology would have gone a long way toward making it not ruin the overall experience. When you're paying $100 per person for a meal, I expect the service to be a bit better. The sides were great.

Our first time at Sear House, and it didn't disappoint. Food, and service 5 stars! The prices are high, but you get what yo pay for!
Food and service was outstanding. Restaraunt was quiet as it was a Wednesday evening. Will definitely return on the weekend to compare.
My wife and I took my parents to dinner and had an amazing time ! Food was excellent and the service was top shelf ! Beginning to end a great night !
At first glance, the Searhouse menu looked a bit pricey. However, I then spotted the Prix Fixe option at the bottom, and not only did it offer every item I was looking for, but the price was quite reasonable. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and both the appetizer (soup) and dessert (chocolate mousse) were delicious.
Porterhouse steak for 2 was good. Cowboy steak (ribeye) was very tough and barely edible. Halibut was tasteless. Appetizers and sides were good. Desserts were very good. Overall, not worth the $600 for 5 people. River Palm is much better.
