Great place to come to for drinks and dinner ! Chef is known for seafood and you won't be disappointed. My wife raved about the halibut and I had the seared tuna. Waitstaff are attentive and professional. Highly recommended

Still one of my favorite restaurants, I hope it stays that way. Was there the other day, and my porcini rubbed steak was not quite as good as I remember. Cocktails are now basically $20 (same size though!). And I had to put down a credit card deposit for $25 per person to dine in a nearly empty restaurant, with a THREE DAY ADVANCE notice period, within which you're told you'll be charged regardless of reason for cancellation, which is extreme. Rigatoni Bolognese was great and service remains excellent. Portions all a good size. Will be back, but maybe on a weekday when we don't have to worry about the cancellation policy.

The Hill is an excellent fine dining experience with delicious food is a comfortable setting and attentive service. And, yes, I drive all the way from Brooklyn to dine there. The wine selection is a lot more extensive than you will see on their website.

This was our 3rd visit because the first 2 were so good. I ordered a mudslide but the waitress told me they couldn't make one because the bar doesn't have a blender. That's ok. I ordered a different drink. I ordered the falafel burger but instead I got the falafel appetizer. We order coffee and dessert. I ordered a nutty irishman. My husband orders a cappuccino. Dessert comes. Then the waitress brings the bill. So I ask her about the coffee. She says she thought I was ordering the same drink I had ordered previously. The mudslide? Why would I try to order something (again) that I already knew they couldn't provide? And why wouldn't they bring my husband his cappuccino despite the fact she didn't understand what I wanted?

My family and I went to The Hill to celebrate Valentines a day before the actual holiday so it wouldn’t be as busy. Our experience in the restaurant was good. Staff was attentive and we had a quiet dinner since there was a big snow storm in the morning so there were only three other tables besides ours. Unfortunately the bad part came once we got home. My whole family started getting sick beginning with myself. I started getting nauseous throughout the evening. I believe I had the least amount of food poisoning. My wife vomited at 2am profusely. My daughter vomited all over her bed at 3am. When I woke up my mom was complaining that she didn’t sleep because she went to the bathroom all night. I contacted The Hill and left a message and no one responded. I emailed Lauren who is the assistant manager. I had her business card because I was initially thinking of having my mom’s 80th birthday party there since the restaurant was so nice and the waiter gave me her contact info. Lauren finally emailed me a day later and said she will contact me in regards to this issue but I still haven’t heard back from her. I don’t like writing these kinds of reviews but I feel I have no other choice. I know every restaurant cannot be perfect all the time but at least have the courtesy to show your paying customers that you care.

Food was tasty. Started off with the Boratto-fig app that was presented nicely but lacked flavor. The apple-gorgonzola salad had a nice melody of zingy and earthy notes that blended well with the zesty dressing. The originally ordered bottle of wine was not available. The sommelier made a nice alternative recommendation. As the main course, the tender slow cooked halibut was a palate pleaser with sweet spinach along with a savory vinaigrette. The mushroom risotto was well prepared. Felt like seating could be spread out a bit more as the tables next to us were quite close. Would recommend & will be back.

This is our new local favorite! Best Gin and Tonic I've had. Consistently delicious fish dishes and steak with awesome veggie side dishes. The noise level is low and so welcoming to dinner conversations.

Disappointed in the main courses. Scallops were sandy and the pork dish cut of meat and spice mix changed from last time we ordered it and we did not enjoy it. Dessert and appetizers were good.

Overall good. We go to the Hill often. There was a change to the menu, on a staple that's been on there for about while. I like when servers let you know if there have been recent changes. I blindly ordered what I thought was the usual...I was mistaken. Next time I'll be more careful...

We have been here twice and this time wasn't as good as the first. We had a very delicious burrata app that was shared but after that the meal went downhill. My wife had the duck which was cooked fine but just ok. I had the scallops and they were small and the dish lacked seasoning. My wife and I both had cocktails which were ok. We wrapped up the meal with the monkey bread pudding and it was also just ok. Overall with 20% tip the meal came to just over $200.00

Love this place and enjoy the many times we have gone there, but this last time was not good. Our dumpling app was cold in the center, and so was the sauce. One bad food prep can happen, but then our quesadillas were also not hot. Did we complain? We let our bar tender know about the dumpling but just accepted it about a bad kitchen day and just paid a left. We hoped the host would ask us about our experience, but no one did. We hope this was just a one time issue.
