I had the pleasure of dining at Estime Cafe today, it was an outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was phenomenal, warm, attentive, and truly welcoming. This is the first Haitian restaurant I’ve visited that delivered such impeccable service, and it made all the difference. The atmosphere was inviting, and the food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was prepared with care, bringing out the rich, bold flavors of Haitian cuisine. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Haitian food or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic meal and a top-tier dining experience. I visited this establishment on Sunday for brunch after discovering them on Instagram. The restaurant is notably small and located in a strip mall with limited parking, which can lead to overcrowding. Although the food quality appears satisfactory, I found it lacking in flavor. I ordered the lamb chops, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a side of cheese grits. In my opinion, the dish was good but required more spices and should have been served hot rather than warm. Unfortunately, I experienced gastrointestinal discomfort afterwards. Additionally, the lamb chops were not cooked to my liking, as I prefer well-done meat and was not pleased with the pink color. Total cost of my dish was $35. If I were to return, I would opt for their French toast, pancakes, grits with bacon, or hot honey Sriracha chicken, while avoiding the lamb chops and steak.
Parking: Very small parking area with others store in the plaza. Please find street parking especially if you have a party of 4

4/5 From the moment my friends and I walked in for breakfast, it was obvious this was going to be an interesting experience. As soon as we open the door, a "regular" was berating the young server for a situation that didn't call for such hostility. Shame on that customer, but I also have to say shame on the additional staff in the kitchen who didn't speak up. The poor server was crying and my group ended up showing her more support in the moment.
Coffee came out promptly and all seemed to be fine. All of a sudden, the place became super busy and I guess we ordered around the same time as everyone else. Our order ended up getting lost and delayed. While the server took accountability, I didn't blame her because it's obvious she was having a rough morning and with minimal help.
Finally, we get our food and it was as good as others have pointed out. Pancakes were fluffy and the turkey bacon was nicely crisped. The quality of the food and my pity for the conscientious server are the reasons why I rounded up my rating to a 4.

I really like this place! The owners and chef are on the floor to make sure you are having a great experience, which is rare these days. A must visit, this is my second visit and the food was amazing! I have to say respectfully that Colonia NJ doesn't have a lot going on, but Estime's is an experience you must try!
