“I had the pleasure of dining at Estime Cafe today, it was an outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was phenomenal, warm, attentive, and truly welcoming. This is the first Haitian restaurant I’ve visited that delivered such impeccable service, and it made all the difference. “Happily surprised. I must admit, we tried Mijos a few years back, but something was lacking. Recently we tried them again and found the food delicious. Chicken cutlet parm was very good as well as our other dinners. Glad to have given it another whirl!”

“Someone recommended I come here and try some of the pre-made specialties. It is a small place, but there is no lack in options. Everything really just looked so good, I picked out a few things for me and my son. I picked up some Chicken francese and chicken Marsala, some marinated artichokes and some seafood salad. All of it, DELICIOUS! I have been a chef for many years so I can be picky and I can tell when places cheap out on ingredients. I did not get that vibe from here. I'm pretty sure I could taste the love. Highly Highly recommended”

“We stopped on our long journey home from the shore and we were NOT disappointed !! Barb was helpful, sweet and gracious during our visit. The prepared food was AMAZING!!! And trust me when I say my family and I are pretty critical with our Filipino food, growing up around some of the best Filipino cooks ever. Literally EVERYTHING was amazing. We even picked up some groceries and snacks as well. We will be making the trip again just to visit The Filipino Foodmart in the near future. If you are in this area or even driving up the Garden state Parkway (it was super easy on and off with gps) make the stop. You will not be disappointed.”

“This is a pick up or delivery type of Chinese food spot. They've been in Colonia for a while, they just moved to a newer spot. I usually get the General Tso's chicken and the Beef/Chicken with broccoli. Good food. The larger orders usually comes with a container of rice. I just take a menu home then call to pick up when I want something. 15-20mins was the average wait time for my food after the call ends.”

“One of the best cafes I’ve been to. Always clean and quick. Staff is super friendly and donuts and sandwiches always fresh. I always try their new refreshers and iced Capps and they’re super yummy. A Must try for everyone in the NJ state.”

“I went to Harvey's Ice Cream after the Tim Horton's last night on May 19, 2026 in Colonia, NJ and I wanted to give them 5 stars, however I chose to give them 2 stars.

I did not want to give 2 Stars. I tend to look for the best and will give people the benefit of the doubt, however there was a large communication gap with those running this store. When I arrived the doors were locked and lights were off. Someone in a car drove past and said they would be back in 5 minutes then in the next breath said 30 minutes. I said I would wait. Then literally less than 5 minutes a person arrived and unlocked the store and I got a Ferraro and Nutella Gelato. I took pictures sharing I would write a review.

There was a language barrier with the employee serving me Gelato then the Manager named Jack came in and explained what was available. No Milkshakes, only scoops. I was told store was promotion only as they were the lab that bulk made the products for their other stores. I was also told they would be closing end of the month and moving the store to Edison.

I asked if there was any Chemicals and Additives in their gelato and they said no. I was told it was all natural. The Ferraro and Nutella Gelato was good.

I do not want to give 2 stars, but I cannot give 5 stars. I thought about giving 3 Stars, however what bothered me the most was being told when they were stepping out to run an errand they simply turned off the open lighted sign. I recommended they hand write a sign because I cannot read their mind looking at a locked store with a lighted sign turned off, if or when they will return.

Worth the visit? I do not know. Though I am exploring making my own Ice Cream and Gelato at home, I would like to give them another chance and visit their next store in Edison, NJ after they move and try their Rasmalai Gelato and Rasmalai Gelato Milkshake.

I wish Harvey Ice Cream the best with future success.

Update from my Tuesday May 19, 2026 review:

I stopped by Harvey's Ice Cream in Colonia, NJ May 31, 2026 last day of May. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and wanted to give them another chance. I am glad I did.

I had a different experience and a greater understanding of the situation, as reason for upgrading the 2 stars to 4 stars.

I will update further my experience and explain why I upgraded to 4 stars by the end of this month.”

“Sandwich Station-Colonia ,Nj was my three children’s go to after school - especially on Tuesdays! For 4-years while they attended High School. All now in college now and finally got time to order so I decided to Order ( My very first time). I ordered the Chef Salad which was just fantastic! So Fresh! The cucumbers sliced Perfectly- not thick cute like other places! I also ordered a side of chicken and I was so surprised how much was given - nice portion! Had a few of the kids fries! Heavenly!!! Sandwich Station- my new Go-To!”
