Awesome historical place for families and couples to visit. AJ Meerwald, a tall ship, could be docked there. Check website for more information.

Only outside dining now but its a Nice little dock side eatery with a little dry bar along side. nothing fancy like the wharf, light menu, just a quaint little mom/pop stop .. super nice people..good food... occasionally has live music ..if you like quit moments, the atmosphere is the best ....

Historic area, museum, local beer and waterfront location. Extremely casual and interesting. Raw oysters on a Friday once a month. A famous ship usually docked there that you can see and it does scheduled rides. Really nice people work there.

Great atmosphere, good food, nice staff. Off the beaten path but certainly worth the ride. We'll be back.

Second Friday of the month at the Oyster Cracker Cafe was great. The oysters were outstanding as well as the music. Flounder tacos were good as well.

Atmosphere- relaxed and plenty of space to breathe. Breathtaking views! Food- simple, but delicious. Service- scaled back, but attentive and generous. AJ’s Pub- great beer and friendliest bartender in SJ!

Like most, I'd seen the signs along Delsea Drive and the "back way" into OC and was intrigued. Innumerable trips down the shore, being born & raised in Philly, and a transplanted resident of South Jersey since 1970, I was totally unfamiliar with Port Norris. The visit was informative (from an historical perspective) but what I was most looking-forward-to was some tasty oysters. It was a Thursday in August and we were two of SIX people who were there! They weren't serving raw oysters and the fried had virtually no taste. The Oyster Chowder, while overflowing with large oysters (and potatoes in equal amounts) was unremarkable. Everything is overpriced starting with the $2 per glass Iced Tea. Being that the area WAS the oyster capital of the US and is now nothing more than an attempt to keep a culture alive, we didn't mind shelling-out a few extra shekels in the name of charity. I hate to "pan" a non-profit but I feel I should warn unsuspecting travelers that if you are thinking of going there for some mouthwatering seafood, forget it. Hold your water a little longer and go to the Crab Trap in Somers Point! Qualifier: As I stated, we went on a weekday. I was told that raw oysters are served only on those "Second Friday" events held (I'm assuming) on the 2nd Friday of the month. I'm curious to know what that would be like, but not curious enough to go back...sorry!
