Avenue East, please reopen! Memories of Honey Shrimp with Walnuts and Lo Mein with Vegtables missed! I just saw that you are "temporarily closed" - please be true!!!

It’s been over a year since this place temporarily closed and it’s the only Chinese restaurant we have ever liked going out of our way for. When will it open?

Have called their number for days and they never answer. However their website, google, & Yelp say they are open. Place used to be great then after pandemic they went take out only & now they don't even answer phones.

Just call me crazy but this is hands-down the most traditional, flavorful, East-Asian food that I have ever had. After an easy-going tennis practice at NSRC, and about to get ready for my USTA Tournament nearby, I got great service in blazing speeds. The staff and especially owner were so nice, exceeding my expectations greatly.I have had a long, extended period of time looking for the right combination of Asian Fusion. After going to dozens of these Fusion restaurants, I have never been amazed, really, by any of the aspects. But at Avenue East, I have finally found my designated place for Asian Fusion.Let’s start off with the quality of the food. After my meal, I wasn’t able to speak, marveled by how amazing the meal I had was. The boiled dumplings were the perfect combination of healthy but delicious food. Paired with the shrimp tempura, I was astounded how perfect this restaurant was. Now, onto my entrée. I received chicken and broccoli from this unique restaurant. I cannot fathom or put into words how delicious it was. I think I stumbled into flavor-land. Every single other restaurant that has this entrée cannot even touch this level of awesomeness?. The broccoli was tender and not soggy for once, while the chicken was some of the best I have ever tasted. After my tough tennis match at the USTA tournament, I had my takeout food ready to go, and it energized me in no time.I have never given 5 stars on any other review that I have posted publicly to the community. Usually, most of my reviews are private, but as for Avenue East, I feel that everybody looking at reviews should see how amazing this restaurant is!Avenue East provides the burst of energy needed to accomplish goals in life. The flavor of this restaurant is on a level no other restaurant can touch. Many people talk of giving 10 stars is to a restaurant, but what’s the point of that? That is why for this restaurant, I would give ♾️?!

I love the food, but unfortunately the restaurant is only open for takeout, even this long after the pandemic calmed down. Such a shame!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!! Horrible service they lie about delivery time they take way over an hour then get your order wrong and then make you leave the food outside your house and they ban you from ordering food instead of even saying sorry once! Food will always come cold and wrong!

Despite the fact that I've been living in cranford for the majority of my life, I've actually never had food from this place before tonight. On a whim, I decided to try it. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and beef lo mein. The lo mein was fine, not bad but nothing to write home about. The chicken, however, was a different story. COMPLETELY flavorless. Despite the chicken clearly having the sauce coating it, it tasted like I was biting into a bland piece of grilled chicken. Nothing more. I honestly had to question if I had covid or not for a second. The menu boasted that they didn't use MSG, but maybe they need some

Avenue East was somewhere we would go for date night. Now that they only do takeout, we still treat ourselves to their incredible dishes. My favorite is the Pad Thai. It's unreal! With friendly service, it's always a pleasure to support and experience Avenue East.

Good quality food. Takeout or delivery only. Nice variety of dishes, including sushi. Recommend!

I was curious about this place because it's always packed.I took my family to have a quiet dinner and loved the place. Their sushi it was great. My wife thinks this is the best sushi in the area.About their Chinese or Thai cuisine, the food is good, but I won't change my go-to restaurant for this one :)In terms of service, they need more staff. I noticed that they had only 2 waiters for the entire place & all the tables were in use. Also the hostess is not very helpful, she didn't even greet me or my family, even after we said Hi or even when we said Bye, she was like a statue :P

We had take out and it was hands down the best Asian food I've ever had, everything was delicious. Its so much better then the standard take out joint. These guys know flavors. I can't wait to go back and try it fresh. Land and Sea and a Coconut Chicken Dinner. Do yourself a favor and get some !!

Wait time is ridiculous. They tell you 35 min and you wait over an hour to pick up. I dont mind waiting 1hr, but tell me ahead of time so I'm not wasting time parked outside your establishment. It's selfish not take into consideration anyone else's time. This is not the first time!

Tom yum soup was SWEET. Do not recommend it. Lemongrass fried rice was flavorless and lemongrass was chewy and disgusting
