“Stumbled on this wine tasting “room” one Friday evening and had the best time. Chill vibe, tasted a 5-flight of reds, nibbled on a delicious charcuterie board and left knowing we’d come back.

Outdoor patio seating was lovely but we sat inside to hear the guy with the guitar. Service was fantastic.”

“I love coming to Wasai Bistro whenever I’m visiting the east coast. I’ve followed Chef Nelson since his days at Aozora and Wabi Sabi. His food quality, menu options, and value are unmatched in the area. Once you try his food you will understand why he has so many repeat diners. I highly recommend the Mes Reves Roll, Uni and bone marrow ramen, Miso glazed sea bass entree and salmon lover entree but it’s very hard to go wrong with anything Chef Nelson serves. Parking is street parking only but honestly I’ve always had a very easy time finding a spot. BYOB so you can drink what you love.”

“ALWAYS delicious - I try to stop here whenever I am in the Cranford area. I’ve been a fan of this Jersey Shore style seafood joint for a couple decades. Fresh, perfectly prepared dishes that always allow the seafood to shine. Fried or broiled flounder and any kind of shrimp are a personal favorite. I always judge a restaurant by it’s side salad and here it’s never an afterthought, fresh and so tasty - they should bottle their house dressing it’s off the chart.”

“This is a nice vegan spot with lots of gluten free options. The cupcakes, cakes, and brownies are very good. The creme brûlée cupcakes and peanut butter brownies are sure to impress. There are some big hits but also some misses in my opinion. The bagels and donuts are not great. The bagels are flatter and more rubbery than other vegan bagels I’ve had and staff does not have the means to cut or toast them—not all bakeries that sell bagels toast or cut them, but just be prepared if you’re going for a bagel run. I also had a Boston cream donut that was thick and bready. If you’re picking up treats for guests, you can please them with items aside from the bagels and donuts. I usually finish whatever I buy here, but I could not do so with the bagel or donut. Four stars instead of three for food due to the sheer amount of gluten free options.”

“Nothing beats enjoying the sushi at the restaurant but due to the covid pandemic and with an abundance of caution for safety the restaurant is takeout only. Regardless, Mr. Bin's is our "go-to" sushi place. We routinely travel from Union to Cranford because it's that good! The freshness is evident with every bite. The presentation of the sushi is perfect. I miss hanging with Mr. Bin at the restaurant and looking forward that once again. Especially his "special" selections that he surprises me with.”

“I would have given 5 but I need to go back a few times. Great service, food was fresh and on point. I had the Barria tacos with cheese..the give 4 tacos that were filled just right. Wife had Barria quesidilla which she couldn't even finish. Server was helpful and friendly and food came out fast and hot.

“Seriously the best shake spot in town, Leo does an excellent job serving up customers needs and always gives out positive energy. Her staff is new and take on the same rolls as if the business were their own. As a continuous customer, I always recommend this here (see photo). Such an excellent combo for me since I am doing a few cycling races every weekend and need a boost of help. Cheers!”

“If I could leave a higher review than 5 stars I would! My favorite place to eat hands down. I love the subs, the pizzas, the pasta, the appetizers, and desserts. My family had a small party of about 15 of us and we had a great time. Joe the owner is so kind and accommodating. Def check this place out.”

“I may be a sucker for Thai food but this is up there with some of the best Thai food I have ever had. The inside was super clean and modern with plenty of seating. The service was prompt and all food came out piping hot. The mummy shrimp was out of this world. The outer layer almost tasted like a frosted mini wheat deep fried around a shrimp, insanely good! The shrimp pad Thai had a classic taste and was nothing too special but great nonetheless. The pineapple fried rice with chicken was so fresh and had cashew nuts that added that extra crunch and dimension to a super flavorful dish. I had lychee lemonade for the first time ever and it was amazing! It almost has a white peach type of flavor but it’s not too sweet and super refreshing. Definitely recommend stopping by 8 Thai for a date night or even a work party!”

“Very good food. I was here for a private event and the staff was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, and the restaurant was clean. It's small, but the outdoor seating makes up for that and so does the delicious food. Served hit and prepared just the way I asked.

Parking: It shares a lot with other businesses so parking, at select times, can be difficult but not impossible.”

By well-made I mean you're NOT going to receive food that's drowned in grease, or all mushy like it's been sitting in a steam table for hours.They have a great selection of different styles. All the standard stuff, plus Szechuan and Cantonese specialties. The prices are reasonable. Staff is very nice. I love that when I order delivery, the driver is from the restaurant, not some internet service.I used to think I'd never find good Chinese food in this area, until I tried Hop Hing. Now I wouldn't go anywhere else.”

“It had been some time since I visited the Cellar Bar at the Cranford Hotel! It is still a great place to grab drinks and ligh fare and it always is a treat to have Paz along for the ride. I ate the goat cheese and fig pizza, which was delicious. A nice assortment of draft beers. Paz enjoyed a Guiness and couldn't quite figure out the rules to to darts!”

“We had a great meal at LaColina Mexican Cantina. We got seated pretty quick but we did get there by 6… got a little more crowded at 7 on a Saturday night. Food options were great as well as the drinks. Atmosphere was great also and there was a good amount of people there on a Saturday night. Just one down side… I don’t like that they automatically add on 20% tip on the bill. Tip should be based on great service and at the customers discretion.”

“This place is amazing! Me and my family have been coming here for years when we need a little refreshing meal that fulfills our salty and sweet cravings!! When we order in store it is usually not a long wait but there is normally quite a bit of people because this place is absolutely delicious!! I always like to get the Nutella bowl but they have so many great other options with really cool and creative names! and are so great with making accommodations for your bowl! The store it's self is so cool, with the seating and the decor and the walls as well as the menu! The workers are so kind and friendly! I would most definitely recommend this place!! @playabowls

Dietary restrictions: Playa bowls is really good with making accommodations to bowls such as making half and half of basses, adding fruit, and removing ingredients!

Parking: The parking is pretty okay for the most part but the street right infront of the store is normally crowded however there is a parking lot located to the left of the store that is normally open and it is just a few stores to pass by to get to playa bowls!

Kid-friendliness: Playa bowls is a really friendly place for kids there is no bad signs, names on the menu and many others. There are many different seating options close to the ground for easy access! As well as merchandise you can purchase in store! There are a lot of colors in the store making it feel very open and bright for a good vibe! and stickers of the day you can get for free!”

“Phoenix is my goto for chinese.
I have had both delivery and eat in experiences. Todays' meal was delivered. It arrived hot and fresh, which is their norm.
It also arrived ahead of the expected delivery time.
I always prepare the cash so we don't have to fumble when the delivery person arrives. Today, I had two bills stick together and I did not notice it. The delivery person did notice and brought the cash back so I could correct my mistake.

The food was absolutely delicious – many of our guests complimented the flavor, portion and plating. Our head server was available early before the party to assist with set-up and ensured all our guests were happy throughout the event. It is a beautiful restaurant, with great food and amazing service. Highly recommend and would have another event here!”

“Been coming to the dive for years. It’s a gem in Cranford, it’s a dive bar so order your drinks and food with the bartenders (NO TABLE SERVICE). If you’re here past 2 AM and making noise, they’ll tell you to leave.
