Very disappointed, heard great things, went on their website so many things to choose from. Got there, most of the cupboards were bare! Bought scones and chocolate croissants had to throw them all out, had stale and old aftertaste. I bought 3 different loaves of bread, hoping against all the odds that these will not go the same route. We shall see.

I discovered Breadsmith at the Scotch Plains Farmer's Market and then visited their shop in downtown Cranford. Without a decent bakery in or near my location, this has become my go to establishment. The pepperoni bread, a Friday specialty, is outstanding...add a bottle of wine it's a great appetizer, heck, it could be the meal! The scones beat anything I've had from Panera or Kings, the pretzel bread is also offered in rolls and they are delicious! As is the "pie breads"...all in all, a high quality product.

I stopped here to buy their sourdough boule as I haven't had time to bake my own. It is top notch and I'll be back to buy again. My little one enjoyed the sample of chocolate dessert bread!

Just moved recently to the area and decided to visit for some fresh bread. The lady in the cashier was so nice! when i mentioned i had just moved here she gave me some extra goodies.For a bread lover this place is amazing! their muffins are also delicious!Definitely visiting again!

Great bakery! I've been coming here for years. Something for everone. Breads, dessert Breads, rolls, muffins, scones, and pies, are all fresh and excellent. The gluten-free muffins are some of the best around. And everyone who works here is so friendly.

So far we haven't found anything that we don't like.We are big fans of their pumpkin pies, cheese danishes and apple tartlets.Highly recommended to sign up for their rewards program. You will get a gift on your birthday and if you keep collecting points you will get discounts.
